Slicer
Great for onions, cucumber and tomatoes; more effort needed for carrots and leeks, but still works great. Totally happy with this product so far.

a bit dissapointed
the mandolin is actually not so easy to open and fold everytime. the slicing is ok although I find the protecting grip handle very inconvenient to use as it wastes half of your veg so you have to finish by hand anyway.

An 8mm chip is not a julienne ***MISLEADING ITEM DESCRIPTION***
BUYER BEWARE!This "Zyliss Folding Mandoline with Julienne" will cut a julienne IN ONE SIZE ONLY and that is 8mm x 8mm which is a giant julienne. In other words, great for making chips, but not for making juliennes. I'm sure it is very good at what it does but the description is totally misleading so mine is being returned unopened.

Easy to use
3 settings, safe and easy to use - we clean it be rinsing down after use, with an occasionaly run through dishwasher - tomato pips sometimes get lodged.

Still experimenting
So far managed to gash a finger whilst folding/unfolding the machine. Not too sure about it yet. I would have preferred Julienne slicer rather than a chip slicer also.
