Hunters Field Saw

I bought mine directly from the manufacturer about 8 years ago. I have used it on over 100 Japanese Sika deer and Eurasian hogs. I simply cannot go hunting without it! Mine is finally worn out so I attempted to 'sharpen' it with a microfile but it is not the same as the original, but will last the next 4 weeks of this year's deer culling season. I am ordering myself a new one, and 3 more for my Japanese hunting team today. I just viewed a 'similar' product on Cabelas site but it does not have the protective tip on the bottom, so despite it being almost $10 cheaper, I am going with the one I know and trust, even though it is more expensive.

If you cut the pelvis and sternum when you are field dressing BUY THIS! It really works great and cleans up nice. No working parts to fail just a couple moulded plastic pieces on each end of a hack saw blade but definantly does the trick. I hunt with 15 guys and we push 5 farms for two days. All the walkers have this saw and can field dress a deer in under 3 mins then keep pushing. It's not a gimmic.

After using both a knife and a wire zip type saw, I finally ordered one of these saws and have to say that I greatly prefer this to the other methods. It splits the pelvis very quickly, is easy to clean up at the end of the day, and takes up very little room in my hunting pack.

Friend told me this was a must buy, but after using it for the first time this year, i wasnt to impressed. The 2nd time i used it it went a lot better but i will just stick to a hack saw.

Well made. Sharp, solid, and well designed for its purpose. Does not puncture internal organs ofanimals when field dressing. Would recommend this product to hunters..

Great saw. Cuts through the bone easily. Wouldn't be without it.

I have used these saws for years they are an excellent tool for gutting. If you hunt big game this saw is a must. makes life a lot easier. Nuff said

Purchased this for a gift, I have had one for over 15 years and it is by far the handiest tool in my field dressing bag
