Samsung S5 Active Case, Evocel Dual Layer Armor Protector Case For Samsung S5 Active (SM-G870) - Retail Packaging, Gold Medal

I'm going to break my review down into two parts, Seller and ProductSeller:When initially purchased through Amazon, the transaction went through just fine. I was also sent a note from Evocel's customer service department stating that I was one of their first Amazon purchases. When the eagerly awaited package finally arrived at my house, it was an empty envelope (may have been opened in transit, not the fault of the seller). When I emailed Evocel's CS Department with this bit of news their response was immediate and sympathetic. They offered to send out a replacement immediately and I received the tracking number later that day. THAT package was received without incident.Case:As I stated in my title, it's a solid case consisting of two parts, the impact absorbing hard elastomer "underjacket" and the hard plastic shell (in my case the color of the shell was gold). With a tempered glass screen protector as well as this case installed I feel as though my phone is as protected as it can be. Also, with a naked phone, the buttons along the edge of the phone (volume, active, power) are ridiculously easy to press. Can't tell you how many time I've been holding the phone in landscape only to accidentally brush the power button and shut the screen off in the middle of watching Netflix. This case provides a much needed amount of resistance to those buttons without making them impossible. You have to WANT to press them.I did have a few issues with the design however, one major and one minor. The major one is regarding access to the power/sync cable port. The S5 active has a gasketed cover over this port which (in a naked phone) requires you use a thumbnail in order to take this cover off. When the case installed, there is a small strip of the"underjacket" now going directly over this location. Now, in order to get that cover off, there is a need to get my nail under that strip of material, THEN get my nail into the slot of the cover. I'm probably making it sound more complicated than it is... But it IS an annoyance and does put physical stress on a less than robust area of the phone. The minor point is the painting of the brand name on the back in white ink. Looks chintzy. It would have looked better embossed in the black strip over the camera. Or better yet, replace "Auto Focus" with Evocel.All in all, for around $10, you can't go wrong for good solid protection.

So I only gave this case a 4 out of 5 because the gold color is peeling off and my jeans are fading onto the case. Other than that I love this case!!! Yes it's bulky but it protects my phone. Yes the case has a tight fit I don't not have a problem with it pressing my buttons however I do struggle with pressing the button (small hands) I was worried about how the case would work with the charging port but it works amazingly together. Overall this is am amazing case yes I would repurchase it just in another color. Below are photos of how my case currently looks you can see the peeling and a little of the blue from my jeans.

Very happy with this purchase. I bought a designer case for my phone when I bought it a year ago, and after all the drops it's taken from my two year old, the case was not snapping together anymore. I spent some time looking and stumbled upon this case. I really like that it has a firm plastic case (black) that that hard plastic (color piece) snaps in to. As previous reviews stated, the black plastic is a harder silicon-material, so pressing the button took a bit more the first two days. The edges are raised a bit so any drops should protect the screen, although I always purchase a high-quality screen protector and put it on the first day I get a new phone. I really love the gold metal color.

My S5 is tough, but not tough enough for the abuse I put it through. I'm a bit clumsy, and have dropped it on the floor over 50 times, and even in a saltwater canal once and it survived, but the last drop it hit the corned which caused the case itself to break. Rather than replacing a phone I still owe money on, I bought this case. Several drops later, it's doing great, and even better, you can't tell just how bad the phone is underneath!

The case fit my S5 Active perfectly. The buttons on the sides, as some other reviews said can be hard to press but nothing I didn't get used to . I have had this case exactly for a month and the gold paint is flaking off leaving behind a white goldish looking color. Under some lights the gold can look kinda green but that might just be my eyes.

It's ok. Good quality. The color is just like the picture.. For me it was just too hard. It is so difficult to push my side buttons with this case on. Not even using it.

This product was pretty satisfying and fits my galaxy s5 active very well and protects all round edges. Only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because the case is a little bulky but apart from that, the case is great.

The case is very sturdy. I have dropped the phone a few times and it has not been damaged. However the paint on the plastic does chip off little by little. I have had the case for about 4 months but the chipping started around the 2nd month I had it.

Sure, it's a bit bulky, but that's the point! I love having the confidence of dropping my phone and it not breaking now. Also colour is a little more gold than I thought it would be (was hoping for more of a beige) but whatever, still looks nice. Fits perfect. Volume buttons and unlock button are a bit hard to press, but you break them in and in a couple months they will be easier to press.

I like the product but the on/off and volume buttons are way too hard to press. Otherwise good case.

Poor fit length wise. Great colour. Sliding stand did not work. Great delivery.

As the cover looks fantastic. The paint had started chipping within a month.
