This case is awesome! I've had it on my phone for 2 months now. Don't listen to these picky complainers. The case is like tire rubber. It fits SAMSUNG GALAXY S5 ACTIVES PERFECTLY! It is hard to get on the first time cuz it's such a stiff case but it will go on snuggly. All you need to make sure of is that the back plastic snaps in BEHIND the rubber volume buttons and the power button. It may take a few tries the first time, but it's so worth it. Cheap, crazy durable, very good quality. The longer the case is on your phone, the better it will mold to the phone. Like I said, brand new the case is very stiff and doesn't go on and come off easy, but isn't that what you want from a case?? I mean come on! Who wants a case that pops off?! As far as the stiffness of the power button and volume buttons, that goes away after a few weeks. The case softens slightly and literally molds to your phone. The buttons work totally fine and to me it's good it's stiff so I'm not hitting the volume buttons in my pocket. Pointless complaint about the case cuz it solves itself. Just keep the case on! The case should be paired with an anti shatter glass screen protector but with the money you save on this case, you can afford one and still pay less than big name cases! And have better protection than most! Highly recommended

It protects the phone. I've dropped my phone a couple times and it's fine. It looks nice but I don't like the slippery finish (probably why I dropped my phone). The corner 'bumpers' are not rubber as they appear in the photo. They're made of what seems to be a real sturdy plastic. The buttons are difficult to press. I read a review that said they will loosen up with use so maybe there is hope.This case has some bulk and also made the phone considerably heavier since putting it on even though it states that the case weights 0.3 oz. Now, everyone says they can't hear me since using this case, I got a few complaints of this nature before (no case of any kind), but it's much worse now. I did notice something kinda' crazy. The mic for the S5 Active is on the bottom of the phone! The Evocel allows for the mic with a hole over it but the bulk of the case sort of minimizes their effort to allow for the microphone.The combination (placement of the mic and bulk of the case) makes phone calls very frustrating and sometimes impossible. It's hard to carry on a conversation when the other party can't hear you. I'm sure it would work well with another type of phone ... one with the mic where you would expect it to be. But this particular case is made for the S5.

This case fits nicely over the S 5 active, making the over-sized phone super-sized; but I expected that, and to be fair, it doesn't effect my review.My three stars say "it's okay" because I have no doubt this will protect by phone, but I am not particularly excited about using the phone with the case on it. The hard black rubber feels durable, but it not molded very well to allow the user to press the side buttons, requiring one to press very firmly - more firmly than I feel comfortable squeezing my phone. Also, the opening for a charging cable does not give you much room to pick at the already frustrating to open USB cover.Protection is great, but the ergonomics are lacking.Also, nothing is shiny like the pictures suggest, just so you know. Didn't bother me at all, and its actually a nice matte rubber-feel surface on the shell part.

I love the look and feel of this case. I read in a previous review saying the buttons are a little hard to press. I prefer this because I was constantly accidentally pressing the side buttons. Also in a review I read, they said the charge port was hard to open. That is NOT true. I have no issue getting the port cover open. Tight fit and has no play in the phone. 4 stars is only for the hard to press buttons. If they were slightly easier to press I'd give it 5.

Working as a warehouseman and spending much of the day on a forklift, there was several instances where my phone was launched into the air and ultimately landing on the concrete floor. This case took the brunt of every impact, every time. Even the few times I simply dropped it and landing face down. Not a single scratch, dent or broken screen ever and I used that phone for six years.

I LOVE this case. Fits well, looks great. Less bulky than my old case.The buttons ARE a bit stiff and it's a little hard to distinguish the buttons on the side by feel alone so adjusting volume can be a challenge if you aren't/can't look directly at your phone at the moment. My only actual complaint is that the surface on the back of the case is very smooth and therefore pretty slippery. A more textured surface would make it less prone to dropping.

Love the red on black color. Easy to assemble and seems to provide good protection against drops. Made using the buttons on the side of the phone slightly harder to work and muffled the sound a little.

Good feeling case. Appears to offer good protection.Makes it difficult to use the mechanical buttons on the side of the phone. The power button is near impossible to use.

Excellent case, very sharp, like the design, fits the phone well. The vinyl portion is a little loose top and bottom but with the hard shell on it is very snug. Others have commented on how tough the buttons are to depress with the case on, I have had similar experiences, you do get a feel for it pretty quickly but it is annoying. The worst part is the window for the HR sensor, there is not enough of a cutout to get a proper reading. I tried numerous times to get this to work, finally resorted to cutting the vinyl to be able to get my finger in the proper placement for the sensor to work. Looks like hell but it works now. Also somewhat difficult to remove. I have a spare battery that I swap out regularly and removing the case to do so is challenging.

Arrived on time, fits phone, but buttons are difficult to use will in this case.
