Mud River Shotgun Single Seat Cover

I have several Mud River products, and I am a big fan of theirs. They are simple, tough, and do the job. They are virtually indestructible, a tall order when my dogs are involved. The Single Seat Cover is large and provides more-than-ample protection, as does the Mud River Double Seat Cover I use in my pickup's back seat. I use these more to protect my seats from dirty humans than I do from my dogs. I've had friends damage my seats with knives on their belts and grease on their pants; no more. Leather seats are just too darned expensive.Some customers have complained that the covers slip and will not stay in place, since they only attach at the headrest. This is true. The solution is to get a bungee cord or two, find a spot to secure it on each side of or underneath the seat, and tighten it where the upper seat meets the lower seat. Voila, the Mud River cover slides no more. Actually, I prefer this to a sewn-in clips or attachments like some seat covers have, since I've found those to either not fit properly, be too weak to hold the cover, and/or fall apart. My bungee solution takes only a couple of seconds to install and is foolproof.If you want a fitted custom seat cover, these don't qualify. If, however, you want supremely rugged, easy-to-clean protection for your seats, that can also do double duty as a ground tarp, dog or gear wrap, even a sleeping mat in a pinch, these are ideal. The only reason I don't award a fifth star is because there is no color choice. The tan clashes with my black seats. But, that's better than having a filthy, torn seats.

I own the large Mud River rear seat cover and a dog training bag. The front seat cover is much like the rear cover. Heavy duty material, easy to install, and they last. The cover are generously sized, they real keep your truck seat clean. I am a professional Upland hunting guide and I use and abuse these products daily.

The plastic tabs have been chewed by the dogs to the extent that they no longer work and I have to tie the straps together. The clips need to be made of more durable material. But that is a minor hassle. It would be nice if there was a strap at the bottom of the cover to hold it in place as the dogs sometimes move around and the cover slides out of place. I’ve just used a rope to tie it in place. Given that, they are very good and have done an excellent job protecting my seats from wet and muddy paws!

These are well made and durable but always bunch up when you get in the seat. I work bridge construction and bought these as an easy-to-remove option. Would not buy these again. I'd rather wash them once a year than fix my seat cover 20 times a day.

Bought this as a gift for my boyfriend and he loves it. He can store all of his hunting things including 2 guns and it’s very sturdy. No rips or Tares.

Great heavy duty seat cover. One strap at the top for hooking it just under the head rest. The only thing it is lacking is a second strap to hold the cover near the bottom of the backrest to keep it from sliding forward on the seat and dumping the dog on the floor when you hit the brakes. Minus one star for the dirty looks from my dog.

It has two fabrics that slide if the dog is standing. Could have been corrected if it was bar-tacked throughout the cover. It also slides off to one side if the dog moves much rendering it useless... having straps mid way down to go around or through the seat crack would solve this. Had high hopes, but it's not the pirce I expected. works great as a "ground cover" on wet grass for early mornings. Unfortunately seems we've used it more for situations other than a seat cover.

I didn't find any offensive smell or other issues that the dissatisfied reviews found. This cover works really well, and is very easy to remove and replace when I have a human ride up front rather than my dog. I bought another brand for the backseat of my 2002 Honda Civic, and I wish I had just purchased the backseat version of MudRiver. I will next time. Great and High Quality Product!
