Brilliant book. An excellent insight into how the financial services landscape is evolving, with the new 'fintech' players challenging traditional banks. For someone who doesn't quite 'get' social media the author explains how it increasingly impacts in people's daily lives, including in the context of banking and financial services. The author compares and contrasts the traditional / present-day 'bricks and mortar' bank often still centred around extensive physical branch networks, with the new providers of banking services for this digital, inter-connected age: the digital bank.

It tickles my imagination and somehow I can imagine what kind of digital bank that I want.This book come with good case studies, written in very good structure that could make readers understand the very reason why digital is a do-or-die time for Banks.The content mostly is high level, keep you from boring-detail conversation while still detail enough to make you wonder how you can implement it at your works.

An excellent introduction to the coming changes in banking. Although the author is more enamoured with the nonbranch banking startups than I am. I agree that the second wave of blockchain implementations will cause significant changes in the transaction processing parts of the business. Enjoyed the interviews with the bank execs at the end of the book. Definitely recommended reading for any new banker and anyone working with the financial services industry. I would like to have seen a calendar of changes infograph between now and 2030 based on optimistic and pessimistic projections of change.

Great read , I work in cloud computing and this was very helpful. I would highly recommend this book even for those new to banking.

But it seems it is little bit outdated to 2022 advancementI am waiting for another new book from the auther

EXCELLENT book if you are in the banking industry or want some information about it. I don't agree with all that the author speaks about but the argumentation is good in most case and it did make me think a lot which is always a good thing. I would buy it again If I had to.

Livro de fácil leitura, mesmo para pessoas de outro idioma, com muitos exemplos de casos relevantes no setor. Pena que, pela dinâmica do setor, algumas informações ficam muito defasadas.

the book was written in a palatable way, but never got around to the point of things. I should have stopped reading at the first line of the intro where the author states he wanted to call the book data wars. Neither title fit.
