Loving it!!!
My only problem, they are short. So far so good. Glad to be seeing all my favorite characters again for this one.

If you love Critical Role
This is in regard to the whole series. I wish I could give it all the stars in the sky! If you love Critical Role, then you will love this. Matthew Colville does a spectacular job of making the members of Vox Machina (before they became Vox Machina) sound as if they had been written by the group of lovable "nerdy a$$ voice actors" themselves. I mean it reads a lot like a transcript of them playing their prestream games. I don't know how he pulls it off. Clearly he is a wizard... or perhaps the greatest lore-master bard that has ever lived! So far the story is very enthralling. The party, not yet joined (Vex and Vax are tackling this quest from one angle; Keyeth and Tibs from another; and Grog and Scanlan from yet another... I'm guessing Percy is either in a jail cell, or about to have his first dealings with the Briarwoods) are caught up on a plot if intrigue, and their stories are starting to intersect. To be honest, my only real gripe is it reads too fast. :-)Can not recommended this enough!

Love for Grog
A nice introduction for Grog! He is arguably the beat character of this series. I am thoroughly enjoying the humor as well.

Great for newcomers and longtime fans
Lots of fun for CritRole fans. Text bubbles get a few strange placements and three whole pages of very little changing visually isn't the most interesting part, but the personalities of Grog, Scanlan, and another special Vox Machina member really shine through the writing. Can't wait for more!

Now with more Scanlan
The eagerly anticipated "Critical Role" comic series continues with the introduction of Scanlan and Grog! Matthew Colville's writing not only brings these characters to life, but also produces some very funny comedic dialogue. If I had to make some criticisms, the panels can sometimes have too much dialogue, and it is tricky to figure out who is saying what and in what order. Also, I felt Grog didn't get as many lines, and almost all the focus was placed on Scanlan. Though I love the Gnome Bard, I would've loved to hear the classic "wisdom" of Grog Strongjaw. Regardless, it is definitely an entertaining read, and a good starting point for the fledgling dynamic between Scanlan and Grog. I can't wait for Keyleth and Tiberius in the next issue!

Getting the band together
I've got a soft spot for stories about forming a team, and so does Matt Colville. We leave behind the protagonists of issue one yup focus on the future bard and barbarian of Vox Machina aka, the smart (ass) guy and the big guy. A knowledge of D&D may help catch the many Easter eggs, but is not necessary to appreciate the dialogue and growing plot.

Love it
Always wanted to know the story before the episodes. I love the take on the characters and how streamlined the whole thing is. Not math or figuring out what they might do next. It tickles my fancy so much more.

Still well done!
It’s still very easy to imagine them playing through this at the table and hearing it in their voices. I love this! If you’re a Critical Role fan this whole series is a must have.

The humor in this volumen is great, already wanting to get the next chapter! the plot is interesting and since voz machina will soon be formed it’s nice to see the characters on their own, before they formed a family
