The product works great, don't bother with using the software that comes ...
The product works great, don't bother with using the software that comes with it, its too confusing just save your files like you would use a thumb drive. The product is described as having a aluminum case and it is an aluminum color plastic not metal so so the product description is not quite accurate. It works and performs as expected, I would recommend it !

Worked great as Wii U hard drive
I bought this since my kids filled up the Wii U's storage. It worked perfectly as a storage drive. Just plug in the USB cables and turn on the Wii U. Format the drive with the on screen instructions and you are ready to go.

Good for the price
It's got decent transfer rates... on average 30mb/'s. The only downside is it comes with no software in the box for the one-touch-backup button

Perfect for Wii U
Because the drive itself is designed with two separate USB cables, it will directly Plug-and-Play to the Wii U, using two USB ports. One for power, and one for data transfer. You DO NOT need an extra USB cable in the Y shape. The drive comes will all the cables you'll need. It's small and fits anywhere, so it's good for even the most cramped shelves.Really a great option. You can go for a larger size, but for a Wii U, 320GB are quite sufficient.

Cords too short, stopped working the day after warranty and no response from seller
Cord it comes with is too short and eventually if you move the computer, which you do with a laptop, it rips the plug out and eventually renders it useless. What's worse is that they don't respond when you try to get in contact with them.

Good for a Wii U.
Good for a Wii U. It uses two USB Ports (for energy and data)Since the Wii U requires it to be formatted (deleting all other data) I only use it for my Wii U

Very good product and excellent value.
Works fine I reformatted the file system to NTFS so that I could save folders/files larger than 4GB the drive is well made and I am very happy with the purchase and would certainly recommend it.[ A point to note is that this external HDD is a much better deal and far cheaper than buying a bare 2.5" 320GB HDD than some of the very rip off prices being asked for]
