BAK 36207 Roll-X Tonneau Cover

The Roll-X is very easy to install and only took me about an hour when all was said an done. Mine is installed on a 2013 Ram crew cab with short box and I only required one socket for the entire installation and did not have to drill any holes. The cover looks great when it is down or when it is rolled up. They have made a couple of changes to the product that I noticed where different in the instructions. You no longer need to install the strap. it is already connected to the rail. I did use the rubber weather stripping on the front box rail closest to the cab because I did not have a cap on that rail. I found that this rubber peice was not thick enough and there is a small gap between the tonneau and the front bed rail so the cover is not completely water tight. Other than that it works great and is the best tonneau on the market in my opinion. It allows me to still use the bed of the truck when it is rolled up yet it is secure and fairly weather resistant when I havfe the tonneau down.Hope this helps.

Really easy install approximately one hour. the downfalls are the water seal on the front of the bed wasn't thick enough, there is approximately 1/4 inch gap between the bottom of the cover and the top of the seal. I will call Bak for a thicker seal.The install instructions are poor,there is extra shims and rubber seals that are not mentioned.I recommend watching a video on youtube, that was better than the instructions. the only tools required are 9/16 socket and a pocket knife to cut the seal. All the hardware seems to be heavy duty and will take lots of ware and tare.

Bought this September 2014. Lasted only 15 months and was very disappointed by the quality of this very expensive and supposedly tough tonneau cover.I was hauling long lumber and my tailgate was down. While travelling the IL interstate, wind gusts at approximately 45+mph ripped and whipped the Roll-x open. The plastic inserts that grabs the side rail were broken (8 of them). I guess those plastic parts were the weakest links.Called customer service and was told that this particular model was discontinued and no replacement parts were available. The guy also told me that since I'm out of warranty there's basically nothing they can do. However he had the guts to inform me there's a new model, a thousand dollars upgrade bull$#it. I'm Disgusted.Won't recommend this product or company at all. On a side note my neighbor's three hundred dollar cover still looks good.

Pleased with the product, except one of the latches had glue in it that caused it to stick. After a little Goo gone it loosened up and has been ok. I'm not sold that someone couldn't get into the bed of the truck from the top of the tailgate with a crowbar, but definately more secure than a soft cover. Received the product in less than a week.

Best bed liner I've ever seen or owned. My brother-in-law liked mine so much, he bought one for his GMC. Company must be very proactive as his had several improvements over mine. The only installation notes that I have is that both mine and his required additional gasket material on the front of the bed on the drivers side. Not sure why it sits high there, truck was on flat ground, but strange the 2 trucks with 2 different bed liners had the exact same fit issue.

This cover was very easy to install and looks great. With my locking tailgate, I am able to secure items in the bed of my truck just like it's a giant trunk. BAK nailed it with this truck bed cover.

Lasted a few years but had problems after the first year. The tailgate lock down bent often. The felt came unglued and fell off. The plastic clamps broke. The cover cracked at the tail gate area. I emailed the company twice to ask questions. I never received a response. The concept is great. the bed stayed very dry, but the product and support is not up to par.

Don't waste your money! Got 1 year out of it before it began to fall apart. Paid the high price because it was supposedly purpose built for my 2010 f250. The model Bak sent me didn't even come close to being built to fit my truck bed. When contacted about the fitment problem, Bak industries admitted there was not a particular cover made explicitly for my model and all they could offer me was a bag full of plastic shims to adjust the clamp-on rails so the tonneau cover wouldn't fall into the bed when unrolled. Stay away. You were warned!
