Beautiful, peaceful shade of blue
I have recently begun a love affair with Fountain Pens. The variety of pens and colors of ink that are available is marvelous. I was looking for a shade of blue that would remind one of a calm sea on a Caribbean beach. Private Reserve Tropical Blue is that color. It's beautiful, clear and eye-catching. If possible, it is a peaceful color, and I am pleased that it is not commonly used (I like to be at least a little original, and not use the same shades that everyone is using). When I am trying to decide what inks to buy, I like to know what color they really are, so let me try to describe tropical blue. This shade will probably remind you of the color of the sky on a perfect summer day, or the feathers of a bluebird. If you like the color blue, I don't think you can help but love this shade!

A Breezy, Comforting, Summer blue
Tropical blue does not look as bright or light as I expected it would. It is hard to tell from color samples online which don't do the color justice. Though I was hoping it was more of a bright turquoise color, I am so pleased with the beautiful shade of blue. I believe this is a good blue for those who find turquoise too light or feminine but still want a medium-lighter blue that has that tropical feel. Instead of being tropically bright, I describe this as tropically soothing. It is hard to describe the shade, but it is pleasant and relaxing to read without being dull, with a subtle hint of brightness peeking out. Like a summer day on a hammock by the sea!
