I ordered this book, which was fulfilled by Amazon and described as used-acceptable. I wasn't expecting the book to be in very good shape at all. To my surprise, it arrived in nearly perfect condition. Thanks Amazon for exceeding my expectations once again.

Professor Schwartz wrote a classic in the historiography of slavery in Brazil, if not the Americas. Anyone who is has a serious interest in this field, this monograph is a must read
