SMOOTHIES Bungee Bands-Black, 3 CT

When I first got these bands, I had a hard time using them. I would use the bands alone and the hooks would get all tangled in my hair. It was a disaster. I then decided to used a rubberband first to hold my ponytail and then the bungee band second. This worked much better for me as I experienced little or no tangles from the hooks of the bungee bands.. I would recommend this product to those with thick hair who want a nice hold for their ponytail.

I prefer this over the silicon rubber bands as these keep my hair in place better.However, they can be difficult bc it has to be much tighter and it can be tricky getting the metal hooks together. The silicon are easier to do yourself.

I love the idea of these. One of hooks broke off after two uses. The other two bands are stretching out of shape. Only the middle parts are stretchy because they elastic didn't stay connected to the ends. The fabric is still wrapped and connected to the hook so I can still use them. I would like it if someone made a better quality version of this because it is a great idea.

These work really well in my curly hair, but they aren't very durable. First one broke after about a week and a second not long after that. I managed to fix one but it re-broke in a different place and now has too much give to it. 3 stars for how good it makes my hair look :)

Love these! I didn't find them difficult to use at all. They stay in place all day. No adjustments. No hair pulled too tight at the forehead from my pony tail drooping. No ripping the hair out of my head when removing them. You do have to be careful when removing because the hook can get caught up but no tangles so very easy to remove. I've tried both connecting the hooks together and also hooking directly in my hair and both methods are solid. I like hooking directly in my hair because it's easier to hide the hooks. No pulling and there's no awkward looking bald spot where the hook rests. Three definitely are not enough so I'll be purchasing more.

The first time I tried to put my hair up with a Smoothies Bungee Band, one of the hooks popped right off. Not having particularly thick hair and barely tugging on the band to wrap it around, I was shocked at the lack of quality. Second, the hooks tend to slide right out of the strands I "anchor" them to and causes the entire band to fall out. The bungee will stay fine so long as I don't move my head at all, but I do have soft (almost slippery) hair that tends to not like accessories. These may work better for people who use hair products - pomades, hairspray - or have dry hair due to coloring or use of a blowdryer, as I believe the hooks would have more friction to work with. While these hair ties are not for me, I can see the allure of a bungee band given the customer has the right hair texture or is willing to create the right texture with some sort of product.

These bungee bands are EXCELLENT!!! They're super easy to use and even keep really thick hair up in high ponytails! I'm so happy I found them!!!

I think you need an assistant to use these. I thought they would make it easier to make a tight pony where your style doesn't get destroyed as you put on a traditional round pony tail holder but you need 3 hands to put them on so they sit in a drawer not to be used until I need to help a family of mice move house and they can use them to tie down their possessions in the back of their tiny pickup truck.

These bands are very strong and especially useful for extremely thick hair, particularly when attempting to tie hair into a pony-tail. An endless struggle to maintain said hair in neat pony-tail, only to find ordinary hair-bands snapping because they are not sufficiently sturdy enough, are now a thing of the past. These bands are particularly useful if you have braids. One hook will easily catch the braids, allowing easy wrap around the hair, and/or catching the other hook with the rest of the band.Exceptionally handy product.
