Sunwayman F40A Cree XM-L2 880 Lumen LED compact AA Flashlight/searchlight with Built in Red/Blue LEDs, Dedicated diffuser and 4 X EdisonBright AA Alkaline batteries bundle

The led is working super nice. Functions are nice, the "police" strobe is fun. Nice finish. Only 3 stars because mine was a gift for a friend, and out of the box, the flashlight came with an electronic default. I contact the company and send me instructions but basically I had to do a repair procedure myself, which didn't works. What happens is that when you do certain functions change in a specific sequence, the lamp just stop working and you must "reset" it by taking out the battery pack and in again... Strange but inconvenient failure if you are actually in the urgent need (self defense, emergency....)

Arrived very fast, as described and it works great! At the same time that I ordered this, also ordered the much praised ThruNite TN4A. They arrived the same day so I was able to compare them side by side. I was surprised to find out that the Sunwayman F40A is brighter even though it is rated 880 lumens vs. 1150 for the TN4A.Also, the color of the F40A is pure, white while that of the TN4A is greenish (I hate that!) Finally, the light spread of the Sunwayman is better too (a bit wider and more diffused center spot). Needles to say, I returned the TN4A and I am keeping this one.The custom diffuser is useful for me and the red and blue light options might come handy. And thank you for the free batteries.
