First of all, I knew mostly what I was getting myself into, as the description is for a macbook (mabook-as they spell it in the description) pro 13 in, and I own a macbook air 13in purchased new in 2013. I knew I would have to cut it, and just kinda hoped it would fit. The keys sort of light up now, which I was hoping for better, but it is what it is. I just applied it yesterday, so I don't have any idea of the long-term use of this. The edges of the stickers kinda snag my fingers as a type, but it's not too obnoxious, and I will probably just get used to it. I should have used as exact-o-knife, rather than scissors to cut the edges, but I was too lazy to go to the basement in search of one. It took me about 30 minutes to apply, but I was able to peel the whole sticker off, with leaving just a few key stickers on the sheet and applied it all at one. It's not a perfect fit for my macbook air, but it will do. In addition to cutting along the top edges, I also had to cut the track pad, as it was ever so slightly larger than the trackpad of my laptop. I have attached a few pictures that will hopefully help in your decision-making.

This decal is specific for MacBook Pros made before 2014 with the built-in disk drive. My 2015 13" MBP Retina display has a smaller body so when I first applied the decal, it hung over on all sides. Luckily the Keyboard is spaced the same, but I had to use an x-acto knife to cut out a section to move the trackpad into the correct place. I then used the x-acto knife to trim the entire outside rim of my laptop. It also took forever to put on! I was being a perfectionist and was trying to place every key perfectly, but it took me nearly 2 hours to finish. Every key has a specific sticker on it, and sometimes the lettering on the sticker did not line up with the translucent lettering on the keyboard, so the sticker is not exactly centered on the key, but it is hard to tell on most of them. On the other hand, after all that work, it looks fantastic and after less than 24 hours on my laptop I have had almost two dozen compliments on how cool it looks. And a bonus is that if you eventually want to take it off, it does not leave any residue.

I purchased this along with the decal to cover the Mac itself. I was only able to use the decals on keys themselves as opposed to the picture of the product which lead me to believe I could get the look that's advertised. I couldn't. The keys were the only part of this that actually fit my Mac. I would have to cut the rest of the decal and it still wouldn't look like the photo advertised. Even still, I'm glad I made this purchase because I like the look of my Mac now it was worth the time it took for me to put the decal on every single key.

Very Beautiful sticker! The only reason for 4 star is because it did not fit my MacBook pro 13.3 (retina). I had to cut it myself which was not the easiest nor did it give me my desired finished look. However, It still came out nice with a couple rigged lines here and there.Oh and just a heads up---be sure to have about 30-45 minutes to apply this thing. No one told me that I had to apply each and EVERY piece of sticker to every individual key. It was semi-worth it. Just take your time.

Apparently there is a size difference in macbook pro 13's because this decal was just a bit too big for ours! Involved trimming on both sides. Note that every little button piece needs to be removed from larger panel, placed exactly, and then a thin border strip of vinyl has to be removed from the larger panel... for every key. Takes patience, a steady hand, and up to an hour. Still had issues where some keys were getting stuck in down position. Finally just used labels on keys and outer part of surface area... not unhappy with the result but this is not a product for people without a lot of patience. I doubt many people will get it fully placed.

Like the colors and effect, but it's not 'perfect'. I ended up taking the time to remove the outlines of all the stickers so that my keys would stick out more. I prefer that look, but then the sticker is not exact to the keyboard. It's good enough for me, but the perfectionist in me wants to cut it and remove it and restick it again... which I know would be a bad idea, so I'm leaving it alone. It's doing what I wanted it to do, giving my keyboard visual interest.

I decided to just use the stickers on the keys and the tracking pad, without the border that covers the rest. I like it a lot better that way! The resolution isn't 100%, but I love it and I get a lot of compliments every time I take my laptop out. It was kind of a process putting them on individually, but worth the effort.

The decal finally arrived within 5 business days. I was so psyched-I couldn't wait to put it on my Macbook! I was a lil bummed-it fit my keyboard but over lapped the touch pad and had extra slack all around the edges. After all the research to make sure it fit my current Macbook--it even said "Macbook Pro 13" on the decal... ::sighs:: It still looks pretty cool. I posted a defect tag to the seller. I really want to salvage this skin-I'm gonna have to take an exacto knife to it. Here I go...!
