FID Rope Size 3/8''

Nice fid, only problem is this is for braided rope and not the hollow mono I wanted a fid for, found it after looking a little more. It does have all the markings and is well build.

Doesn’t work for 3/8 rope!

It worked fine it fit all my expectations. I used it to splice dyneema rope.

Like the other guy said, this is way too thick for 3/8 rope, like Spydura. It's very tough to push through the rope tunnel. It sticks and simply is too thick. Proof is looking at the Factor 55 FID, which is 1000 times better. It's about the size of a pencil and works perfectly. This is more like a thin magic marker plus the alum. is sticky where theirs is anodized or coated so its even that much nicer to use! I wish I could return this. Oh well.

These fids were exactly as I anticipated. They are stout and not susceptible to damage. On the other hand, they are susceptible to misplacing them if the fall in the cushions or on the floor....If you are working with laces or paracord, they are a good thing to have....

Use the right tool for the job. This 3/8 fid made short work of some winch rope I had lying around; the pencil or tape methods would have taken twice as long.
