Love this book
This book has changed completely how I view using my Bible. It has given me springboards on ways to use my Bible for daily Bible study, sharing the gospel with others, and using my Bible to encourage my family. I had never considered using it to remind me of special events and their spiritual significance for me, my family, or friends. Especially during this time of Covid I have found it helpful to mark verses that gained special meaning during this time for me and adding a date to it adds an historical record for others in the future. How God helped me personally deal with what was going on and the fear factor of the unknown may help someone later to deal with an unknown in the future. I had always been comfortable marking verses and adding notes to my Bible but the ideas in this book really changed my mind on what is important to put in my Bible. Previously it was all about memorizing Bible Facts, and this helped me see ways to strengthen my faith. When I add things I received from friends/family (like quotes or stories) I put their names so when I see it in the future I can pray for them. My Bible reading has become something I can't wait to get to in the morning, whether it is to add something new or remember something or someone in my past that has been important in my journey through this life and into eternity.

Great book!
If you are nervous about writing in your Bible, get this book! I never wrote in mine until I was in my early 20s. I am 50 now and wish I had taken notes way before I did.

Nourishing and Encouraging - A Must Read!
Possibly my favorite book that I've read in many, many years! Beautifully written and with so many wonderful stories to go along with very practical and encouraging thoughts about writing in the margins of our Bible and living in the margins of our lives. This book was a breath of fresh air for me. I enjoyed the devotional aspect very much, but even more I just enjoyed the concept. I marked my copy entirely up and know that I'll go back to it time and time again. Thank you Lisa Nichols Hickman for speaking so beautifully to my soul!

but not a bad read. Took me forever to read because I ...
I purchased this book along with my journaling bible. Not quite what I was expecting, but not a bad read. Took me forever to read because I would get distracted by my other bible studies. I guess that says something, it wasn't quite enough to keep this girls attention. Even though this wasn't the most captivating book, it was very enlightening. I loved the different peoples margin writings that the author discussed. It was also quite nice to have the ideas at the end of each chapter of ways to journal in your bible.

Recommend for Bible Journalers
I'm just starting in Bible Journaling and this book provides information about "taking notes" and getting started finding the words that speak to me personally. It is a good companion book for anyone interested in this new art form/bible study method. It is well written, organized, easy to read and kept my interest.

Interesting Read
Words are so powerful. Using the margins of your bible to journal about your prayers, hopes, sorrows, joys is such a great idea. What a meaningful and insightful heirloom to leave to your children or family members. Live in the margins. Great read for people who love to journal.

But to spend nine pounds on a rather repetitive book that talks about beautiful art in Bibles but then offers you doodles
You can find so much more inspiration on Printrest and the rest of the Internet ~ for free. This book... £9 is far too much money to basically be instructed to childishly doodle in your Bible. If you look at historical artwork in the margins of Bibles and prayer books you will see that most of this work was quite intricate and ornate. (And oftentimes really scary, makes you wonder what people were drinking in their tea!) You feel that the people were deep in thought as they carefully worked at the words and images. But to spend nine pounds on a rather repetitive book that talks about beautiful art in Bibles but then offers you doodles? No t hanks.
