I ordered a set of 20 of these back in July 2019 and had to order the “optional” extension pack as the lights only have a 1/2 meter Length of cable attached which is no good if like me you have a large area to cover with limited access between decking planks. The lights look good when working but the wifi receiver drops out all the time and the hand held remote only has a range of about 1 meter! Worst of all three of the lights have failed already.. one after only 6 months. There is Water/condensation on the inside of the unit. My last set of lights lasted 4 years!! Not impressed with these and they were quite pricey!! Maybe I was unlucky but I expected better. I’m not ripping up my decking again for 1 light as suggested by amazon customer services! or buying another box of 10 so will wait till more fail before I replace them with a different make/product.

Although I have not installed installed the decking lights as yet I’ve tested them and they give off a very good vibrant bright light.I’m currently changing my decking boards which have all become rotten when builtMany years ago by the previous house owner and it seemed a real Shame to install the lights and take them out again, when some of the boards have been replaced!!I will be installing at the front horizontal edge facing, which will look amazing because the ones that were there looked good but a few were faulty and they were no where near as bright as my new ones. My old ones were normal bulbs and these ones are led’s.Some lights are really chunky but these are a lovely size (not too big and big too small)The good thing is that I don’t have to buy a new drip piece to make the holes because I already have a drill bit big enough to make a hole for these to fit in!! Otherwise buying a drill bit fir the other bigger lights is quiet costly if you can’t borrow.They ate really easy to install, you just connect up each individual light and plug in and off you go and that’s me who is not very good with electrical items but even I could connect them up!!I will provide an update once my new decking is fitted and we are up and running and can’t wait till it’s finished.Great price and value for money!!

Fairly easy to install the lights in to the decking, quite difficult to get them connected to the wifi and working on the app. After about seven attempts it finally connected and work very well for about three weeks. I now only use the remote provided which works fine the app is more headache than it’s worth.After two months of use one of the lights had condensation build up a was a projecting different colour to the rest I series regardless to the colour I choose. Tried to purchase a pack of 5 spare bulbs however I could only purchase a whole set adapter + wifi + plug as they aren’t sold separately. Replaced the broken bulb to discover the clear cover used is a different white to the ones I’d previously bought and the colour projected from the new bulb is slightly different to the rest

UPDATE - JULY 2020:Contacted INDARUN-EU support and after answering their questions and trying their suggestions to reset the WIFI controller they agreed to send me a new controller box at no extra cost, and this arrived about 7 days later.The new WIFI controller connected to my Android phone perfectly this time, and stayed connected so I could then open the 'Magic Home Pro' app to enter my home WIFI router SSID name & password which are then stored in the WIFI controller memory. I have also purchased the other smaller white 5-pin RGBW WIFI & Infrared controller by INDRARUN-EU which is cheaper (£9) and created my own adapter wire that joins the flat 5-pin connected to the round 5-pin connector of these lights, and this too works perfectly and you can have multiple WIFI controller devices added in the app, its great and the lights looks brilliant, and the app is excellent too, so I have adjusted my rating to 4 stars, losing 1 star because of the 1st faulty WIFI controller.NOTE: these WIFI controllers only work on the 2.4ghz WIFI signal so if your phone defaults to 5ghz, you need to switch to 2.4ghz channel each time before you open the app to control the lights. Also note that once you setup the controller to connect to your router, the WIFI controller's own SSID name of LEDnetXXXXXX will disappear and will no longer show in your available WIFI list of signals, so if you change your router password and you need to reconnect to LEDnetXXXXXX you will have to do the reset procedure (plug & unplug power to controller 4 times in slow succession), this should wipe the memory and allow the WIFI signal of LEDnetXXXXXX to return for initial setup once again.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Disappointed the WiFi on the led controller refuses to stay on long enough for the Android app to connect to it. My phone briefly sees it and connects and then the controller WiFi signal disappears.Have contacted support, so hope to get a positive response, but if not I'm using Amazon returns to send it back for full refund.

If you use with only the remote control these are simple to install, basically just plug them in. If you want to connect to home wifi/Alexa etc you will probably need to scan the QR code included to view the detailed user guide as there are no proper instructions in the box. I have them set up with Alexa which is fun, and also have created additional light sequences with the app as I wanted mainly blues/greens/turquoise. I still haven't explored all the possibilities with the app yet, there are so many options, like setting the colour based on the surrounding area by using the camera?! Overall fabulous set and would definitely recommend.

Thank you, the decking light look gorgeous, set into our decking. With a hole kit attachment added to my husband's drill, these were installed in no time. They lay completely flat and make our decked area look quite magical at night. The delivery was prompt, and they are excellent value. We will be buying more and highly recommend!!All in all a good experience with this company prompt delivery and good value.
