Lapgear Mobile Edesk (45310)

This lap desk is a very useful accessory to tablet computers. It works well sitting on a table or on the lap. The padding is sufficient for comfort and helps the "desk" stay on the lap. The tablet feels secure from any wiggling or seat shifting because of the "ledge" on which the tablet rests and the non-slip surface toward the top of the platform. I am glad to own and use it especially when using the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 to stream Amazon Prime video in bed. It works on the body or on the nightstand.For my purpose, the desk would be perfect if it were smaller. It is 3.5" wider than the Kindle, and that unnecessary extra size takes precious real estate on my nightstand. I added extra nubs so that the platform could sit a bit closer to vertical: better for bed viewing from the nightstand. While I also find the less expensive  IPAD-ST: Universal Tablet Stand for iPad, Kindle, and Tablet PC  sturdy and useful, the Lapgear Mobile Edesk is far more functional because it adjusts angles and can sit on desk or lap.

I purchased at a local store and liked it for it's size and being very light. It will fit a small laptop quite nicely.I have a 14 inch. It says it will take up to a 15 inch.I liked it so well that I ordered one on Amazon, but the latch would not work and it only opened upon "great" effort,so I returned it and went back to the local store. I bought two more for family and tried those out and 1 out of 3 also had a latch problem where it could not be opened. if it weren't for the latch issure I would give this item 5 stars.Oh by the way this works great to hold your Kindle or nook while reading and has many angles to adjust height.All in all this is a nice laptop desk-but beware of the latch.

This Edesk was to large for my iPad Pro 9.7. In addition the Edesk was slippery and the bottom was not as padded as other reviewers claimed it to be. It also appeared as if I received a "pre-owned" Edesk. The cardboard wrapper was torn and scotched taped back together plus there was what seemed to be some sort of animal hair on the padded side. The Edesk is being returned.

This lap desk is a good choice if you're looking for basic, lightweight convenience. There's nothing flashy about it, the plastic casing is fairly thin and the cushion doesn't offer much padding. There's a small lip on the front edge to prop your tablet up and to keep your laptop from sliding off, this is further aided by two foam friction strips. I needed something simple to use here at home and in the vehicle. The product description states that it has a storage compartment, but there doesn't seem to be any room under the adjustable top for a device of any size. As someone mentioned, the top wouldn't be able to handle much weight or pressure, although the surface is large enough to place most laptops on. If you're looking for a sturdy lap desk to travel with, this model might not be the best choice for you. If, like me, you just need a desk that provides a more comfortable tablet/laptop experience at an affordable price, then you've found it.

Too big for an iPad, I mean, it fits on this but it makes it a lot to handle. Just ok and not worth the money in my opinion. Probably better ones out there.

I had purchased this lap-desk because an older relative was having difficulty using his iPad. We purchased the iPad for him so that he could check his email and bank accounts without having to get up and walk to his computer. Unfortunately, we weren't thinking when we bought the case, and purchased a Dodo case, which does not stand up on its own.Instead of purchasing another case, we bought this lap-desk. It's worked out great so far! It's a bit smaller than I had anticipated, but it gets the job done. There are about 10 notches on the inside, so you can pretty much adjust it to any angle. There's a small fold-out 'holder' for the iPad on the bottom, but if you wanted to use this for your laptop, you can just fold that down.This lap-desk also worked out great for us because after he's done using the iPad, he can still use the lap-desk to eat lunch! Getting up and walking around is difficult for him, so he eats his lunch and dinner in his reclining chair. This thing is perfect for him to put his plate down on, and we don't have to worry about the flimsy TV tray he was using before tipping over.I gave this thing 5 stars, but there is one annoyance: the legs on the inside of the tray are flimsy and can be difficult to maneuver. On my own personal lap-desk, I can simply lift the top and the legs will fold underneath automatically. However, with this product, you have to reach around and tuck under the legs.However, given the price of this lap-desk, I'd say it's worth it. Great product!

This just perfect! I got it today and couldn't be more pleased. It's perfect for my iPad. And it's also perfect to hold the board for my cross stitch graphs. It seems sturdy, even with the very big board I'm currently using. Love that the tilt is adjustable to several angles. Also love that it folds up to a relatively slim package. When I'm using it, it's easy, light and comfortable to have in my lap. I like the little handle for transporting it. It would be very easy to take along on a trip too. Top it all off with such a reasonable price, and it's ideal! Can't say enough good about it.
