it dissolved really fast on water.

So my son asked if Santa was real and I couldn’t completely lie to him to his face so I told him when I was his age I got a letter and it explained the magic of Santa yadda, yadda, yadda. I figured I’d buy special paper because it dissolves and it would be “magic” for when he was done reading. Well I should have tried One before I gave him the letter because he was so excited after his lie of a letter and said “mom we need water Santa says there’s a surprise” ....we ended just sitting there watching this letter sit and get wet in water. It didn’t dissolve so I started scrunching it up with my hand in the water in hopes it would hurry the process along but there were still big chunks just floating on water. My son asked if that was the magic and I said well maybe it just needs time. He went into the other room and I dumped the contents down the sink and replaced it with clear non clumpy paper water, he eventually noticed that night it was “gone” and he thought it was cool. So the point of this review is if your buying the heavyweight dissolving paper for magic purposes this does not work maybe the lighter weight papers might be more instant. But if your buying this paper to be more conscious of the earth, Yadda, yadda, yadda then I’m sure it would eventually decompose in the water far quicker than regular paper and this is what you are looking for. Definitely not if you lie to your kids and try to use this paper to build onto said lie

Good product but took longer to dissolve then expected.

4 hours later it was limp and you couldn't pick it up without tearing it but was not dissolved, even when I tried it in hot water?

This is the only thick dissolving paper material that I have come across. It works as promised....taking a bit more time to dissolve than thinner material. Can be used to make cartons for dry granular materials, soaps, etc. Rather than throwing away, it flushes down the toilet without leaving a trace.
