Love it!
This is absolutely perfect if you want to deter criminals. It looks very real especially where we placed it. Make sure you put it in a visible area but not close enough to where someone can really examine it thoroughly otherwise they might realize it’s not real but it looks so real and I’m very happy with this this is the most affordable way to deter crime

Needs a couple of tweeks, but pretty solid product
I use a fair number of these "fake" cameras to deter amateur hooligans. We live in rural Hawaii, where everyone has 2 to 5 acres lots, all with various amounts of foliage. We use these above mailboxes, driveway entrances, and parking areas. We have to because getting power to them is an issue. So, having a fake camera which is solar powered at least makes some people think they are Wi-Fi monitored. This one is well made, easy to install, and seems pretty weather resistant. There are two things I would change. The dome is awfully dark, so you have to have good lighting and be right on top of it before you can see the fake camera lens behind the glass. Having the dome a little bit clearer so the lens is more visible would help. Also, the flashing light, probably the most important deterrence tool, needs to be brighter. At night, it is fairly visible but only if you are directly in line with it. Five feet to either side and the light is barely visible. In the daytime, the light flashes, but you have to be right on top of it to see it.After having said all of that, it is a good bargain at this price and I am happy with it.

Not bad for the price
Not bad for the price. It looks pretty realistic, especially if you mount it up high where it is not too easy to tell it's a fake. Buying 2 rechargeable batteries is about another 50% more to spend to get it to work as intended, but still it's pretty cheap for the effect. We have installed 30 of these on commercial buildings and they have lasted several months now.First thing I did is use a sealant to cover all the seams on the top because otherwise I think water would get into the battery compartment (there are no gaskets or seals on them out of the box although the solar cell is glued in place which seems to function as a good seal). Also, on several of the units the battery compartments are slightly too small to fit the batteries and you really have to wedge them in there. Luckily you can tell from the light if the batteries are in correctly and making good contact, because on several of them when I put the batteries in they do not make good contact with the compartment ends and I have to manipulate them around to get the correct position.Out of 30 I have only one so far that the solar cell doesn't seem to power the led at all-very simple wiring but so haven't investigated further to figure out why it wasn't working.Overall pretty good for the price and seems to be a good deterrent. The blinking light is nice and bright at night and very noticeable (a good thing).

Looks solid and a good high tech look for a fake camera.

Seriously buy this item!
I purchased this because I’ve had some activity in the alley behind my home and I wanted to deter this, so I got this camera, added the batteries and installed it to my post overlooking the alley. It worked! My STUPID neighbors called the cops because they thought that I was looking into their yard via my dummy camera. BTW it’s not illegal to put cameras up on my property protecting the perimeter. Cops even agreed. Best money spent and if it ticks off my neighbors, and acts like a deterrent for unwanted activity On my side of the alley, BONUS!

This dummy camera does what it is intended to do, scare away potential thieves
it is a dummy camera yet it looks very real and flashes with the small red blinking light from a distance to see that is a camera there it is definitely a good deterrent but it is a fake camera so there is no motion detection etc it is just to scare away possible thieves oh, it is a good deterrent

Fulfills its objective
What I like is that you can adjust the solar cell 360°. The thing that I don't like is that you can only adjust the fake camera lens to 90°, 180° or 270°. If you want the fake lens pointing 130° for example, you have to set the camera lens to 90° and then you have to move the upper part of the camera (solar cell) in order the lens reach the desired degrees. This can leave the solar cells out of the optimum solar pattern.
