Foundational to IMT Practice
As a therapist who has some training in Integrative Manual Therapy, this is a foundational text for it. I realized I had misplaced my copy, and needed to purchase a replacement (just so I have it available when I need it).

Possible of extreme value but poorly written
Seems incredible useful if the book was written clearer ,descriptions often a bit cryptic or not clear at all: does it makes a difference if one bends an arm 60 or 70 degrees?A lengthy ,far to complicated introduction, little practical. If one could only quickly check how true the theory is [which I suppose it is!]Are things working as proclaimed in the book??This book needs a video companion but i could not find this on the Internet . even not on the recommended links in the book.Because of all this i have hardly made any progression [i am an M.D]Please rewrite chapters and instructions and company the book with online instructions or a CD rom

Excellent Book
This book was worth the money! I have previous experience with strain counterstrain which may influence my review. This book was both readable and immediately applicable to my work as an Occupational Therapist. The techniques I have used have worked well with my neuro and pain patients.

Integrative Man. Therapty for the Autonomic Nervous System
My son-in-law is a physical therapist and I got these for his library. He loves them. These are very good books for someone wanting to know more about MIT

Life changing work
I carry this book with me to every client session. I am an Occupational Therapist and an Acupuncturist, and I have many possible modalities I could use, but these techniques are my #1 for ease on the client, on me as the therapist and for depth of change with little effort

Explaination of IMT For Autonomic Nervous System
I have worked with the Giammetteos. This book is not involved with research, but has fantastic clinical application. Their research tends to be based on clinical experience. In response to Serpa's criticism, exploring similar works were not considered because it's influence is primarily the Jones' Strain CounterStrain (SCS). They merely applied the SCS principles to the many tissues that have smooth muscle. In fact Jones himself sanctioned the references to SCS within the book. As far as I know, no one else has done this, and I am the first one who would like to explore similar work. The names and references in Serpa's response did not provide any substantive Google searches given their foreign publishing. Most people can self teach themselves with this book, because it presents every technique in easy to view photos, and concise descriptions. It covers a spectrum of different tissue making for many great opportunities to use the techniques. It is a worthwhile book to purchase, and I have used it a lot clinically with good results. I even use it successfully on myself. Thank you.

By the title, a little bit pretentious
There's no bibliagrafic references, end obviously the author did not visit the work of Alain Lignon: Schématisation neuro-vegetative en ostéopathie, Editions de Verlaque; And Le Systeme neuro-vegetatif et ses troubles functionnels, Roger Caporossi, Editions de Verlaque;Cesar Serpa Brazil
