Digitally remastered two-fer containing a pair of albums from the Funk outfit: FEVER (1983) and ELECTRIC LADY (1985). These two albums featured two of Con Funk Shuns biggest singles namely 'Baby I'm Hooked (Right Into Your Love)' a Top 5 Billboard R&B hit, and 'Electric Lady' also a Top 5 Billboard R&B smash. The FEVER album also featured the single 'Don't Let Your Love Grow Cold' but the stand out track on the album was the Club Classic 'Can You Feel the Groove Tonight'. The album was produced by Eumir Deodato. He was also Kool & the Gang's producer from 1979 to 1982.

Con Funk Shun - "Fever (1983)/Electric Lady (1985)"
I was thrilled about this 2-in-1 CD set from Con Funk Shun. First of all, I bought both of these albums when I was in high school (they bring back such nostalgic memories). Secondly, "Electric Lady" is no longer considered out-of-print, at least for now. The 1985 album was re-released on CD as a analog-to-digital transfer back in 1989 and was valued at up to $500 in recent years on Amazon Marketplace. Outrageous! With the release of these remastered classic albums on one affordable CD, the nostalgia comes alive again for those who remember this exciting era. Since the running time is less than 40 minutes on both albums, you get the no-frills experience of the original album hits. Unfortunately, if you're looking for 12" versions of the hits, you have to hunt for them piece-meal on various compilations. I had to find the coveted extended version of "Electric Lady" on "Disco Giants: Volume 10."

Two of Con Funk Shun's best....
Double CD plays great and arrived in a timely manner. This great band from Vallejo, California has great funk, soul and ballads that are quite pleasing and has been on the scene for many years. This covers their albums from 1983 and 1985. Includes Baby, I'm Hooked, I'm Leaving Baby, and Electric Lady. A great selection for the band's fans and soul music collectors.

Con Funk Shun Fun Of Two
Remembering the album from 198, my brother and I use to collect music together! The Fever album was from his collection as well as the Electric Lady cassette was his! This is a treasure for me packed with all kinds of memories of great music from Con Funk Shun! There were and still are one of my favorite groups!

ConFunkShun...A query?
While I relish this new release of two more of ConFunkShun's classic albums (1 star off as I've never been a huge fan of the Electric Lady album, a bit too pared down and synthesised and trying a bit too much to compete with the Cameo sound of the time, still has some crackers on it though). But the worrying thing for me can be found in the product description of this set, it says - ''To 'round off' the Con Funk Shun series of releases on Robinsongs we bring you 1983’s “Fever” coupled with 1985’s “Electric Lady”.Now, unless I'm wrong, Robinsongs still have 2 albums on 1 cd to go before the band's 11 Mercury Label releases are 'rounded off'- 1980's Spirit Of Love and 1989's Burnin' Love. I really hope that this was a misprint on the label's behalf and this set will appear in future or this whole collection will remain unfinished, which is a terrible shame as the Spirit Of Love album is one of their better sets. Can anyone clarify if these albums will ever see the light of day in this 2 on 1 sets?

I bought this CD actually only for "can you feel the groove tonight". This song is one of my absolute favourites. WOW! But there are soo many great songs on this CD that it has turned out to be one of my best! I just love it! I like the older Con Funk Shun funk, but yeah this is great FUNK too!
