Nice Glasses
I was looking for a a MIL-PRF-31013 rated sunglass, that was also polarized. Surprisingly, I found this hard to find in searching the internet. My first choice was to go to ESS as I have had glasses from them, and I found them top-notch quality.Unfortunately, every sunglass from ESS that is polarized, is also not MIL-PRF-31013 rated (their non-polarized glasses are all MIL-PRF-31013 rated). So I went looking at other suppliers, and recalled the Smith Optics brand and then checked out their website. I found the Hideout tactical glasses, and found that they have a temple width of around 135mm, and this compared favorably with my ESS Flyby sunglasses which fit me fine. When the Hideout glasses arrived, I found that they fit my face well, just like the ESS Flyby glasses. I found the construction of the glasses very good, in typical Smith Optics quality (higher end Smith product line). One thing I did notice was that the Hideouts did not have an anti-scratch coating, like my ESS glasses have (holding the ESS glasses at an angle, one can detect a slight iridescent sheen to them indicating there is a coating applied to the the lenses.)My final key point to inspect the Hideout glasses for was to check if the tint of the sunglasses were truly neutral gray. I have found that cheap polarized glasses, usually have a cooler color tint, which IMO, makes everything look sickly and pale, and also throws colors off (important if one is a photographer, etc.)Well, the Hideouts do not have a cool tint to them, which I was relieved to find out, but they are not neutral gray, either. They have a slight warm tint (not as warm as an 81A filter). At first this put me off, but if one is at the gun range, one needs as good visual acuity as possible, and the human eye is most sensitive in the yellow range, so I think it will help see targets, etc.Combine this slight warm tint with the effect of the polarizing lenses, and the world really looks better that it does in real life, as everything looks rich and vivid, and with the slight warm tint, seems to accentuate everything and makes thing look sharper. If your "future is so bright that you've got to wear shades" then these Hideouts are good ones to consider, as it seems to make everything look colorful, and sharply well-defined (just perfect for looking at one's future in these uncertain times)!

Not Hideout Tactical
Good sunglasses. However these were not the Hideout Tactical I ordered. These were a different pair that were slightly smaller. Hideout Tactical are no longer made by smith

Great Smith quality
Great Smith quality. This is my third pair of Smiths. Very durable. Very clear. The Ignitor lenses make it hard to see at dusk or low light so if you're thinking these will make good hunting glasses or allow you to operate at low light levels - they will disappoint. A great value. Better than Oakley for sure - in my opinion.

Great glasses
Bought these to replace another pair that have gotten scratched up and it looked like the outer layer of the lense was flaking off. Seeing that these had an ANSI rating and ballistic lenses made them attractive. I liked the murdered look too. These are my first pair of polarized lenses and I like them. Only thing is sometimes the glare will come in at an angle so it looks a little strange between the left and right side. You get used to it.

Nice
Screw came loose a year after buying. Lock righted the threads, reassembled, put super glue on top of screw. Good to go. Affordable protective range/sunglasses. I wear them everywhere.

Fantastic Glasses
I love these things. They are Mil-spec 13031 compliant as well as polarized and that's huge to me. Look great, fit great. I am 6'4'' so I thought these might be too small on my melon head but they fit fine.

Awesome glasses!
These are my favorite glasses for visual contrast and definition. They are especially useful in snow, dawn or dusk. I am very satisfied with my purchase.
