Dance Class Foot Thong

Got these for my daughter and while she thinks they are great for dance class she feels they run just slightly big.

I had to fold two straps one each shoe over themselves a bit and sew them to make them fit better. But other straps were already stretched tight so I don't think a smaller size would have worked. I ordered the Large 9-10 size. I wear a size 9 street shoe and size 10 in jazz shoes. Unfortunately these do not stay in position well and feel awkward when dancing. I have stopped using them.

it's a little complicated to put on and the medium is a bit snug and large felt too large. once on, it works well and is not too slippy, especially if you step on a wet paper towel. turns are controlled and my turning callouses feel protected on differing dance floor surfaces.

These are effective at protecting the ball of the foot but not as close-fitting as FootUndeez or Dance Paws. It's hard to get them on quickly as I can never remember which toes fit inbetween which straps. If you put them on wrong they are not as comfortable, but easily corrected when you feel the pinch. The bottom is real leather and they are holding up well - but I don't reach for them as often as for the other two types mentioned. Once on, they stay put. They seem to give my toes a little more protection than the other types. These might be my choice for performing on a non-smooth surface.

For some reason, I thought that this had more cushion to protect the sesamoid bone on the ball of the foot. I just added a foot pad to the inside and just like that I got exactly what I needed a cushioned foot pad to help when I land and to help me glide

They came with a broken strap. They are confusing to put on and are hard to use during quick scene changes, I did a show and had to leave them off for the last 3 scenes. Also they had to be resewed to make sure the remaining straps wouldn't fall off. After all this they did work well but let's just say I'm glad I won't have to use these all the time!
