Dansko Women's Professional Clog

I've worn Dansko clogs for 10 years. I'm aware that they have moved their factory to china after their contract with Sanita ended. The quality is still good. My first pair of Oiled clogs lasted roughly 6-7 years of heavy use. I loved them. I went with patent (shiny finish) clogs in both Sanita and Danskos. All of them cracked in the toe box where it bends at your toes. 3 pairs, all the same thing, cracked leather. I hesitantly went back to the oiled clogs and gave them 1 last try. When I removed them from the box I noticed how dry they were. This was the driest, thirstiest leather I have ever seen in my life. I grew up around horses and I'm very familiar with leather oiling, conditioning, etc. I broke out the only oil I had, just plain vegetable oil. I applied it to the clogs with a paper towel. It Sucked up so much oil!! I kept applying until it could not absorb anymore oil. FYI you can use any type of medium weight oil such as canola oil, olive oil or the traditional neets foot oil for leather. leather conditioner is not enough, you need to use oil. I had a realization with the patent leather shoes. They are most likely using this same bone dry leather that they use for the oiled leather and then slap the patent finish on top. If you leave leather in that dry of a state, it will crack! So far these have been awesome and are working great. They have good arch support. They are a little wider than the Sanita clogs but not too wide. You don't' have to wear thick socks to make these stay on your feet. Remember you should be able to get a pinky width space between your heel and the back of the clog and your foot should slightly lift up out of the back of the clog.

These are my second pair of Dansko Pro shoes. I have severe arthritis in my right ankle and plantar fascists in my left foot. I had been hobbling around using various braces, inserts and shoes recommended by my podiatrist without much relief - until I found these shoes. I now can walk normally, without a limp and without pain. I plan to keep on buying these shoes!

Floor nurse here. Have always loved Danskos, still love Danskos. Slightly wide across the forefoot but I expected that and I compensate with slightly cushy socks. My feet are happy in these for my 12 hour shift plus my 30 minute walk home.First time I ordered this lighter color (black and dark brown before)... I like the honey, and get lots of compliments.

***WARNING*** these are all HANDMADE shoes, so don't expect each shoe (even of the same exact size and style!) to fit the same. It's going to be a total crapshoot if you buy these online, so MAKE SURE THE STYLE YOU CHOOSE HAS FREE RETURN SHIPPING!!!!! Once you find the shoe that fits you perfectly, they're heaven! They're worth the price because they'll take the place of 3-4 other pairs of shoes. These puppies are built to last. I actually went and tried on every pair in 3 different sizes in 4 different stores to find the pair that fit best. Sometimes the size 35 is the same as the same shoe in a size 37, etc, just depends on who made it I guess. Don't forget these sizing guidelines: you should be able to wiggle your toes, the part that crosses over the top of your foot shouldn't be snug, and your heel should slide out a bit when you walk. Do the "kick test" to see if it's too big though (wearing the shoe, make a kicking motion, the shoe should stay on). Good luck to you!

First pair of legit Danskos...I usually wear a 7 so I got the 6.5-7 and they were way too big! There was no way I could walk in them. Returned those to Amazon and got a 5.5-6 from a 3rd party seller. They fit perfectly. The blue medallion is gorgeous, but one of the shoes has damage to the front as soon as I opened them, so not stoked about that. If I pay 100 bucks for shoes I want them to be flawless. Overall I'll give it a 4 I guess.

As a generally practical soul, I'm not one to rave about footwear. However, these shoes deserve all of the accolades and more. As a nurse, I work a combination of 8 and 12 hour shifts, the occasional 16 hour, and the VERY occasional 20 hour when staffing gets really hairy. I recently worked one such 20 hour shift; I came in 4 hours early, stayed 4 hours late, and then when they couldn't find anyone to relieve me, stayed until the next shift showed up.During this marathon shift, one of my assigned patients was a persnickety old "gentleman" who couldn't find anything nice to say about anyone or anything. At one point during a 2am med pass, he huffed "You girls sound like elephants clomping around in those shoes!" Apparently this didn't elicit the desired response, as he shouted "And I'm sorry, but they're just not fashionable on any of you!" at my retreating back. Are they fashionable? Heck, no. They look like miniature cruise ships, and the larger your feet get, the more boat-like the shoe. I should know (EU size 42). However, at the end of that 20 hours, my feet were still singing the Hallelujah Chorus rather than Get Off On The Pain. And that, in my little world of long-suffering, racing from bed alarm to bed alarm, and hoisting hundreds of pounds of human flesh on and off of the bedside commode, is worth its weight in gold.Every once in a while, I get this crazy idea that some of my fluorescent running shoes would better complement my scrubs. My feet, and subsequently my general outlook on life, work, and the human race, inevitably suffer as a result. If I want to sacrifice comfort in the name of fashion, I'll do it on my off time with a tall glass of whiskey and a cube or two in hand, thank you very much. Function over form in the workplace, and these shoes are the gold standard.My only complaint about these shoes--and I've heard it from several sources--is that they're prone to ankle-rolling. The second day of wearing my very first pair, back as a novice nursing student, I rolled my ankle badly enough to limp for a week or two. Even now, I occasionally do an oh-so-graceful flop out of a patient room. Despite this, I will never buy another pair of work shoes.One last note--if you've never worn Danskos before and plan on ordering them online, please go to a store and get fitted first. The sizing on these things is totally convoluted, and you'll save yourself a lot of time and headache by knowing your size ahead of time.

I bought it a week ago and I`m still not 100% comfortable in them. I work on my feet all day and I was hoping that they`ll be great. They provide lots of space for your toes which is great and the fit is generally comfortable but the bottom of my feet stills hurts a bit after walking in after a 5-6 hours. They take time to break in, more than other kind of shoes. They are a bit too hard in terms of insoles. I am hoping that I will get used to them in a few weeks` time... Give it a try if you have the money.

A dir poco comode e confortevoli! Mai indossata una scarpa così comoda. Belle esteticamente, hanno la forma degli zoccoli, e anche il materiale (pelle) è di ottima qualità. Bisogna solo abituarsi al fatto che il piede nel tallone si solleva ( dicono essere tipico di questa calzatura, tipo ciabatta ) ma dopo qualche minuto non ci si fa neppure più caso. Per ora le ho messe senza calze e finalmente non mi sono venute vesciche. Appena farà più freddo le indosserò con il calzetto corto. Per il numero io porto un 38 e ho preso il 38. Appena indossate sembrano leggermente larghe ma è proprio la loro calzata.

Fairly snuff fit over top of my foot (I have a high instep). They are comfy however, fairly unforgiving in terms of give in the sole.

Very comfortable. First time I have these kind of shoes but very happy with them.

This is my third pair of Dansko clog , they are fab. Buy them just a little too big as they are not designed to fit perfectly

This is NOT my first pair of Dansko shoes. I continue to read a lot of "disappointment/negative" reviews/comments from customers that purchased Dansko shoes and return them. However, based on those comments it is very obvious that they don't bother reading and/or understanding the Dansko scale. Dansko make shoes for people with: Thing, Regular and Wide feet. You need to do your homework and pay attention to the style and if it comes in your feet width; and not choose a Dansko shoe just based on the colour. I've been wearing Dansko shoes for 15 years; for my feet shape, Dansko shoes are simply the best! The material used to make the Dansko shoes last a long time and you can wear them all day long (I am a nurse - do 12 hours shifts).

Needed to quickly help stretch it A pinch but they are perfect. 2 weeks ish to get used to. Love them ... my third pair in 15 ish years.Edit: January 2019.... I've had these less than a year... how is there already a hole. Either the quality of your shoes has really been lost. A pair of these clogs usually last me 3 to 5 years. I'm really disappointed. I save up for these. For 164$ it should last longer. I've worn this brand clogs for years.

Shipping was fast. As a Rn of 5 years with flat feet, i was considering getting orthodic inserts for my sneakers. Had someone with flatter feet than mine recommend them and love them. No more sore feet after 12hr shifts and was able to wear them from the get go, no problem and no adjustment period. Be aware that sizing is super important. I wear a Eu 39 in Birkenstocks and needed a Eu 40 in these to have the right amount of looseness. Less expensive than specialty inserts and worth the money. Already bought a backup pair.

Purtroppo, però, le scarpe non andavano bene: una delle due aveva una soletta interna con alcuni graffi, sembrava già utilizzata o forse danneggiata da una troppo profonda pulizia forse effettuata dopo essere uscita dalla fabbrica. Non so, difficile dirlo. Ho scritto al venditore che non mi ha proposto una sostituzione ma di contattare direttamente Amazon. Così ho fatto e, come al solito, il servizio clienti, dopo risposte cortese e gentili, ha risolto tutto provvedendo alla restituzione e rimborsandomi quanto speso. Perfetti loro, un po' meno il venditore che avrebbe potuto essere un po' più sollecito.

I have purchased Dansko shoes from the actually retailer before and was able to get a good fit. I ordered the same size thinking it would fit the same but these shoes are snug on the tops of my feet. I was disappointed in the finish as the have already started to show signs of wear after a month and a half.

Son bastante pequeños y angostos, usualmente calzo del 7.5 americano o 4.5 mexicano, los pedí 38 wide, que es 7.5-8 americano, pensé que me iban a quedar bastante grandes, por qué los zapatos que son wide me quedan grandes, y pues estos los sentí muy apretados, me lastimaron muchísimo el empeine los primeros dos días, después ya se amoldaron y solo me calan cuando uso calceta gruesa, eso sí, son muy cómodos en las plantas de los pies, no me lastiman los dedos ni tampoco la parte de atrás del pie, después de varias horas de estar parada me dolían las plantas de los pies muchísimo, con estos zapatos no me duelen ni tampoco la espalda, recomiendo amoldarlos antes de usarlos para una jornada larga, tmb tener en cuenta que son bastante pesados, pero eso no es molestia durante su uso. Es un excelente zapato para personas que permanecen varias horas de pie, lo recomiendo, solo hay que fijarse bien en la talla.

Beautiful shoe. I have had them before and wore them out. I would highly recommend to people who need a rigid shoe. They are hard and built for stability. They are extremely comfortable. Good for people who need a harder bottom shoe. I have hallux rigidus - my big toe cannot move. A flexible shoe is excruciatingly painful. This shoe is built for those who work on their feet or who have developed issues from being on their feet.
