NGK (52031) RC-FDZ091 Spark Plug Wire Set

I found these to be exactly the same as the OEM wires. Now I only replaced mine as I have 180,000 on the car and I felt it was time. The engine behaved the same with the old and the new wires. I would caution you on the firing order of your Ford Explorer. The firing order is in sequence except for 4 & 5. So just be careful that you pay attention to that and don’t just pull yours off and then put these on. I took a photo and that saved me. Other than that, it was OEM all the way. Everything fit and nothing was too long or too short. I did like that each wire was numbered.

Used these in my 2006 ford explorer xlt 4.0 motor. I bought the Iridium spark plugs and the coil pack all NGK because high performance and very happy! LGreat upgrade. I believe I got all 3 for about 135.00 and did the work myself. On a Ford USE penetrating oil on the old plugs before trying to break. It helps a whole lot!!!..... Well.... 6 months later..... 2 plug wires have issues. The metal inner of the rubber boot that connects onto spark plug came out when removing boot from plug. Reinstated and one was fine but the other..... Pushed through the other side of the boot where the wire was. Tried to reattach but not having it. Went to get warranty. NGK says contact where you bought them. Amazon says contact NGK ... Familiar runaround

“Exact OEM fit” is not necessarily true. Yes the boots and clamps fit as they should, but the cable lengths are a little off (some more than others). All ended up working and look very good, but had to have different placement than my old wires, could possibly be that old wires were too long though. The numbering of the wires made things very easy!
