Great for the price
The bed is big, comfortable, and soft. Those are the three things I was looking for in a bed for my puppy and that's exactly what I got with this. The only downside is the liner on the sides and on the bottom is very tear-prone. If you are gentle when handling the bed cover and when washing it, this one is a great choice. Even with this little nit-pick I have, you really can't beat this price. The other bed I was considering was over $65

One small change would make this a five star product.
Though I am giving this bed only 3 stars, I have to temper that with the fact that of the numerous beds we have for our dogs in the house, these are the ones they choose most of the time. I think that's because these beds are a very good thickness for old dogs, who don't like overstuffed beds -- those are hard to navigate for a dog with arthritis. (So if you think you're doing your dog a favor by getting them that 4" memory foam "orthopedic" bed, think again. You're actually making life more difficult for them.) So what's the problem since these seem to be just right thickness-wise? Well, in their wisdom the manufacturers used a satiny (read slippery) fabric on one side of the cover meaning that if you put that side up the dogs don't want to get on it and if you put that side down then the bed slides all over the place. You can lay a cover over the slippery side and it just migrates right off the bed. I've even resorted to putting non-slip rug pad under the bed when the slippery side is down, but even that doesn't prevent the bed from traveling all over the room. If you plan to put this bed in a corner, then probably you're OK, or if you really don't mind if the bed has to be put back in place all the time, then by all means, this is a GREAT bed from your dog's point of view.

Great Bed for the Price!!!
I purchased this bed for my soon to be 8 year old German shepherd who hAs developed a bit of arthritis in his left reAr hip. I was hesitant to buy this bed because in his younger days he would destroy beds in a matter of hours. Surprisingly this was not the case with this bed. I have a run setup in my garage for him with a concrete floor that he spends about half his time in. I introduced the bed to him inside the house and had him lay on it to familiarize himself with it for a day or so. Afterwards, I placed it in the rear of his run to see how it would go. I must admit, I thought this bed would meet the same date of all the previous beds... A quick demise!!To my surprise he LOVES the bed!!! Rarely if ever is he not relaxing on it when a go out into the garage. My shepherd is 85 lbs and this bed has plenty of room. The foam definitely gives him a nice cushion and some insulation from the concrete flooring. I haven't washed it as yet but I will this week. For the money, you can't go wrong! Don't think twice about buying this bed. Prime shipping was super fast! Gotta love Amazon.

Good, not grand
So I was looking for a bed for my puppy that wasn't too expensive and I would not be upset about it getting holes in from chewing/teething.The bed itself is carpeted on one side & slick plasticy material on the other and an inner foam mattress. The cover comes off easily for washing after the inevitable accident. What I like BEST about this bed is the fact that my puppy focuses most of her aggression on the foam mattress underneath the outer cover. She has been sleeping on this bed for 3 months now and has not torn the cover of it. (Meanwhile she has destroyed 2 other beds dubbed 'indestructible'.) Very pleased, just wish there was a cover around the foam. Pee soaks right in and as my puppy attacks the bed the foam itself is now in many little pieces that end up on the floor when I take the cover off to wash (and clean the mattress.)

Dog sleeps better than me
My dog used to lay on the carpeted floor next to my bed. Feeling guilty, I put an old mattress topper down for him that I was going to throw away. He would lay for a few hours, then I 'd hear him get up and go out on the couch. Then, he would come back in back on the topper. In the morning when I find my covers scattered around my bed from me rolling around w/ those sexy female mudwrestlers in my dreams, I would notice my dog also has rough nights too because the topper would be bunched up in a ball and his eyes as bloodshot as mine. I searched Amazon and found this orthopedic pet bed and ordered it. Since I put it on the floor for him, my dog now lays on it all night long. He doesn't go back and forth from the floor to the couch again and again. He now gets a more restful and comfortable sleep than I do. I think I'll try laying on his pad one night to see what is so great about it if we can both squeeze on it. I hope I don't have those mudwrestler dreams that night or my dog might love find a new romantic interest in me.

My dog loved the bed at 1st But now...
I have a medium sized dog. The bed was a good size for my dog. My dog loved the bed at 1st, but one month later my dog was back to pulling sheets, clothing and anything available to lay on instead of the bed. The foam has not separated and the bed is still holding up. I am still in search of a bed that my dog will love more than my bed.

Great Bed Purchase
The bed is a great fit for our 75 pound German Shepherd who is fussy about dog beds and prefers bare floors any day... We were trying to get him a comfortable bed where he would start spending more time, so that his joints would get a break from the wooden floor. I am happy to report mission accomplished! He is spending more time on this bed than on the floor. The egg foam is the perfect thickness for a "bed fussy" dog like ours. The fabric is on the thin side but it works. He does sleep on the soft plush side with the understated green pattern on the floor. I have noticed his hairs get through the fabric onto the foam. So as a preventive measure, I did place a small "baby bed pad" to protect the foam from getting dirty with his hairs so as to prolong the "egg-shaped foam" life. Our dog does not wet his bed, so getting the foam wet is not yet an issue. Haven't washed the covers yet but I expect no issues.Do not hesitate. For the price, this is a great buy!
