Torc T50 3/4 Open Face Motorcycle Helmet Retro Suede Lined

I got this for riding my ebike because I live in a town full of grandma's and grandpa's who crash their cars through buildings in parking lots. It's rad, it's shiny, it's comfortable, and if I get hit by a Buick traveling at 5 miles under the speed limit I feel like I won't have any major head trauma.If you know your hat size the measurements are very true to size. It ships with a little CHIPS visor, amd a bag for storage/carrying, but I bought an aftermarket face shield that fits it great.Protect your head, and be safe out there. The olds will run you over if you aren't watching out for them.

This retro-looking helmet is of much better construction than the $10 lids we used to purchase at the five-and-dime stores in the 1970's.It uses thoroughly modern materials and construction, and fits comfortably, with plenty of padding. The suede-like material used for the liner is soft and absorbent, adding to the superior comfort. The sizing was spot-on. I usually wear XL, and sometimes even XXL. The XL that I got fits me perfectly.The other item of significance is that many of he helmets of the 1970's were not very good at crash protection. This helmet meets the current DOT standards, which have been upgraded significantly in recent years, so it offers completely modern impact absorption, while retaining that 1970's look.The only negative is (as someone else pointed out) the supplied visor rattles. I'm going to try a little clear silicone in the snaps, and if that doesn't stop the rattle, I'll get another visor. If I could, I'd subtract half a star for that. On the other hand, many helmets don't come with a visor at all, so add half a star for including one, even if it rattles.This helmet looks like it's straight from the 1970's, and that's why I bought it. The quality meets today's standards easily, and that's why I will wear it regularly.

I was surprised with this helmet, for the price it seems like veey good quality.Finish is nice, sizing perfectly matched the chart.With a shield on this helmet is actually more comfortable and more quiet than my bell 500.It has DOT rating which is bare minimum, but for an open faced at this price that's about what you can expect.Overall if your looking for a cheap bell 500 alternative this fits the bill...

Looks good but I can see how cheap it actually is. It may not hold up well under hard use because the liner doesn’t feel as tight as the better helmets are. My AGV helmets are 12 years old and they’re impossible to replace these days so I was attracted to the blue colored helmet, it matches my pinstripes. I returned a Bell last week due to poor fit and this is only slightly better but I can wear my glasses with this one.

This helmet is great. I have been looking for a 3/4 helmet that fit well and didn't make me look too much like an astronaut. This one fits the bill. Cannot bet the price either. It was under $50 when I got it in Oct 2016. I ordered 2 of them and indeed go the newer one with the brown inside and metal rim. This was exactly the one I wanted. It comes with a nice protective carry case as well as a small peak visor to help shield against the sun.If you have looked at the Bell 500 or the Biltwell 3/4 helmet this fits pretty similar but is much cheaper. I wanted to get one with a bit more of a design but could not pass up the price.A few things you will notice if you are coming from a full face or beanie. The area around the hear will feel/sound hollow. The fit around the face for me is nice and snug. Some may say tight but I would not want it any other way as I don't want wind to to be blowing in around my face and causing more noise to my ears. Although it is snug, I can still slid in a pair of sunglasses to finish of the look. I also bought a pair of Original KD's to go with these for $6 off amazon and it works great.I ridden with this only in weather that is about 5-15 degrees Celsius (40-60 F) and it is great. If you've never had an open face you will realize the true freedom of having the wind in your face lol.. Of course, it is not a safe as a full face. Surprisingly as well, there is less wind noise for me when I use my 3/4 or my beanie compared to using my full face.If you do want a face shield for this, the 3 button snap at the top makes it fit almost any generic shield made for 3/4 helmets. I love this helmet so far. I have ridden about 3,000 miles with it, and have found it to be very comfortable. It's exceptionally quiet for a vintage, open face style helmet. It matches the 1971 motorcycle perfectly I bought it for, and receives a lot of positive comments.

I quite like this helmet and would but it again. It is the style I was looking for and a good fit.I used their measurement chart to find my size. It was very tight at first, but this was expected. Like all helmets I've ever had, it loosened up a little after short use. It now fits perfectly.It includes a face shield, which I was not expecting. I ordered one separately and I'm glad I did. The included face shield does not bubble out enough, so my nose is constantly touching it. The included shield also does not slide up.There is also no ventilation with this helmet, so if you are using the included shield, it will be hot. However, the separate shield I bought fits on it nicely and breathes better. There is also a snap on the back for goggles if you would rather use those.The ear pads also detach, which helps the fit early on and also increases the air flow a bit.The helmet also comes with a separate visor (which cannot be used with the face shield) and a draw string bag. Like the shield, I have never used the visor because the shield I bought includes a visor.Fortunately I did not buy this helmet with the accessories in mind. The helmet itself looks good, seems to provide good protection, and is a good fit. It was what I was looking for and I would buy it again.
