Bought this for our son to use at a 12-day Field Medical training camp through the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps youth program. He only used it three out of the twelve days, was sure he didn't overpack it, and the main compartment seam completely separated on Day 3. Also, on the bottom of the pack, the circled area of the photo was the third strap that frayed so badly it had to be cut off.I'm aware that a $35 pack isn't going to perform like a $100 pack, but 3 days?? No way.Of course, the return window expired while he was on the trip, so not sure what recourse I have now, if any.

This bag is same as it is described. The color is good and bag looks tiny from it's appearance but when you open it up, it got huge room that you can put lots of stuff in it. I think it is very useful either for daily uses or hiking and camping.

The shipping was fast. I was contemplating getting the 2 day shipment but didn't need to. It came in 2 days! I'm in the Army so I was expecting a larger ruck, but I think it will work for traveling to and from different airports without advertising that I'm in the Army. That's my sole reason for purchasing this black ruck. I will comment further in the future if it breaks down, but for now, other than its size, I'm content.

Great back. Sturdy, comfortable, plenty of straps and loops. Works great as a bug out bag. I can keep a large tarp, sleeping bag, medium cooking kit, water filter, first aid kit, fishing kit, rations, and a ton of little bits and bobs. The external straps help for whatever you. An clip or tie on. My buddies and I like to go camping, more often than not it’s a random text and just get up and go. This bag lets my haul more gear than they could dream of, and it’s all just on my back. My only complaint is a lack of Velcro or button straps. Some of my gear has a belt loop attached, and it’d be nice to loop them through something. Great buy, great quality, near perfect.

I purchased this as a replacement for one that didn't hold up very well. The interior storage and exterior back zipper pouches are well arranged with adequate interior pockets and hold-down straps. One thing I noticed off the bat was this one had a "Y" shaped strap that fastened over the font of the pack. I found this changed the center of gravity and make the pack more comfortable to carry. I have a shoulder pack with a similar "Y" strap and it works great as well. There are adequate Molle strips and tabs which is great for me. I switch out saddle packs as needed for the particular job on which I am working that week. It allow me to keep stuff organized and the Molle fast with Black Hawk Speed clips (not included). There are enough attachment loops right where you need them.
