Scannon Ghost Deep Night for Women Edt Spray, 2.5 Ounce

What I received was definitely the authentic Deep Night Ghost. Shipped promptly, and was packaged securely. Also, excellent value for this one, and hard to find in the U.S.I remember loving this one years ago, and right out of the bottle, it smells exactly how I remember it. To my nose - Very heavy bergamot/citrus/clean smell on the top that takes a while to develop into a soft powdery amber. I have never really smelled any of the floral notes in it as far as I can remember. It lingers close to the body, and although it has great longevity and sillage, it's a cozy lingering effect. Not overpowering at all, but definitely not weak. It's the kind of perfume you never have to worry of overspraying, because it always seems you can spray it 10 times and it still smells just the same as 2 sprays. For me, that's a good thing as I'm prone to overwearing a fragrance. So I always have to choose one that won't clear a room and cause sneezing fits if I spray it mid-day around others.However, my body chemistry must have changed over the years, as on my skin, it smells just like lemon furniture polish. Not necessarily a bad thing, it's just psychologically, it's hard to get past feeling like you smell as if you've just cleaned house all day. It doesn't really exude sensuality, and sexiness to me due to that, as it should. Though, it is a very bright, fresh fragrance. Just not the sensual, soft, deep fragrance I'd hoped it would still be on me.To make it more wearable on myself, I keep a bottle of Canvas & Concrete fragrance primer to spray on and let dry down before spraying perfumes that take a wonky turn on my skin on. It helps it stay longer, and smell like it does right out of the body if it's just not meshing with my body chemistry. Though, I do love how a fragrance becomes your own when it does "mesh", it just doesn't seem to work for me with this one naturally anymore, which is sad considering I used to love it so much and the bottle is gorgeous. I would love to smell more of that amber that I used to smell on the dry down. I can tell it's there out of the bottle and on my clothes, but not on my skin which is where it stays longest rather than fabric.I would recommend at least giving it a try though, as every one is different. It still smells lovely from bottle, and at this value, it's still a good one to have around for a collector. I don't think it was a problem with the perfume, the quality, the storage, or a change with the formula or anything. I really think it's just me, because when it's in the air, it's perfect. Just once it hits my skin, it's just bergamot/cleaner. I recommend for anyone to invest in a fragrance primer though. Perfect for blind buys!

my grandma ordered this for me for christmas. it smells so amazing. I wanted it so i could smell like the night and boy do i get those kind of vibes whenever i put it on. it last's almost all day, Just remember to reapply at dusk.

Bought it as a gift because of the unusual bottle...the fact she loves the scent is a bonus
