Practical earthy wisdom anyone can benefit from
I've owned this book for a couple of years now and realized I never wrote a review. Ms Nichols' book isn't your typical self-help book that tries to cheer lead you into a new take on your life. So many of those feel either patronizing or phony and they just didn't *talk* to that inner part of me that I was trying to so hard to reach and change. Nichols' *talked* to that inner me with stories of her own life that are were so genuine I just couldn't help but relate to.My life's history and circumstances are completely different from what Nichols grew up with, yet I felt like she was in the room listening and giving me some honest earthy wisdom to put to use. Her stories, how she tells them and what she learned from them, resonated strong and honest with me. Our lives are totally different, and yet the pain and challenges to our humanity were the same.Too many books of this type preach the usual "be positive, smile and you will be happy" message and to be honest, that just doesn't hit the right notes for me. Nichols' does say the same thing, but it's less than 1/4 of the book. The rest is how to bounce back when you get beaten up, how to take your scars and use them to get stronger. It also teaches you to look at yourself and what you're doing or not doing that makes you unhappy by example. In a way, Ms Nichols is like that wise Grandmother we all wish we had who could gently knock some sense and perspective in your head.I've owned this for a little over 2 years now, I reread it every 6 months or so and *still* get a "AHA!" from it. If I could I would give this woman the most embarrassing of hugs for the warmth, compassion and practical wisdom this book has given, and continues giving me.

So genuine!
I first saw Lisa's dynamic speeches on YouTube so when I learned she'd written a book, I had to get it. This book is one of the best self-help type books I've ever read. She's a great storyteller and she tells her experience is such a genuine way-- I think anyone can relate to it, regardless of background. She gives practical advice in a conversational and approachable way that does not sound preachy. This book helped me assess who I am and what I'm attracting to my life. It'll be a good book to have and reference for many years to come.

This book is AMAZING!
I have watched Lisa speak live and am always impressed with the ideas, knowledge and insights that she shares. She really connects with the people that she speaks with and I have used many of her principles to improve aspects of my own life. However, I wasn't sure if a book would convey her ideas and energy as powerfully. Much to my surprise, it does! She has stories that are easy to relate to and activities that keep you engaged. My only piece of advice is that you'll need to block out time on your calendar to really USE the book. You can't just read a section and move on. There are some great activities that she offers to get you really use the information.

THIS BOOK WILL HELP STOP THE MADNESS BEFORE IS STARTS. Very good read for all young ladies 14 years old to adults
This is a good book that causes you think about what you really want to attract into your life. Lisa tells her story so someone else won't have to go through this same ordeal or how to get out if your are in a crazy situation and don't know what to do. Then she gives step by step instruction on how to better your life. After listening to the audiobook you will also want to purchase the book for a ready reference when you need it. and you will not find this book in the half price book store I checked with them several times. This one is a keeper to learn all the concepts Lisa offers in this book.

A Life Changing Book
I was flipping channels one day when I came across an episode of Larry King Live featuring a panel discussing women and our self-worth. Lisa Nichols was one of the panelists, and I found her to be knowledgeable and inspiring on the subject of self worth. The next day I bought her book and found it to be profound, a page turner and completely inspirational.Lisa was a contributor to the book, The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. While The Secret was great in introducing the concept of the Law of Attraction, No Matter What!: 9 Steps to Living the Life You Love gives more concrete insight into how to live the life you desire. Lisa reaches into her own personal reservoir of experiences--many of them adversities that she had to learn how to overcome. Out of these trying experiences, she formulated character-building strategies to help herself and others survive through life's challenges. Many of the strategies that she discusses are not groundbreaking, but she approaches these strategies in a thought provoking way. She teaches us how to turn situations into positive life lessons, essentially turning "lemons into lemonade." Another added benefit of this book is that at the end of every strategy which she calls "muscle," she provides reflective exercises that reiterates the lesson in each chapter. This book greatly helped me through a recent personal tragedy. A couple of days after I nearly completed reading the book, my cat, who I considered a close member of my family, passed away. Her passing was a heavy blow, but I know this book spoke to me and helped me get through my emotional distress. This isn't a one-time read type of book. I highly recommend reading it more than once--and working through the exercises so that its lessons are internalized. Its suggestions work well as daily habits, which if done as prescribed, can be life-changing.

Lisa Nichols is always interesting and has much common sense in various situations. I like her approach and always feel empowered when hearing or reading her work. Her words reflect situations in many other people's lives. Thank you Lisa for another great book.

Book of hope
If you are going through desperation but still believe that you can do something but can't get out of your despair, self doubt and feeling of unworthiness , this book helps you make yourself strong. The author shares her own true story and walks you through her journey of chaotic, desperate life, but still with the belief that her future can be better, to a victorious life.

It just can’t be better
I thought this book was going to be more of the same, but it isn’t. It’s the first time I’ve found tools that are really helping me to heal and grow. It’s very practical, useful and I’m so happy I read it. Now I can start making the changes I need to achieve my goals and that I can go back to it anytime I want or I need it. I’m so thankful to Lisa Nichols, she’s so inspiring to me and I look up to her. I have to mention that even though I’m Spanish and my English is not great yet, the book was very easy to read and understand. One million thank you for it.

bom
Livro bom, mas às vezes dá muitas voltas para explicar o já dito. Para um leitura rápida vale a pena
