Esta antología contiene una dosis bastante generosa de terror clásico, misterios sobrenaturales e historias extrañas y tétricas para todos los gustos, sin embargo; existe una edición más actualizada (y del mismo editor) de esta antología llamada: “The Big Book of the Masters of Horror, Weird and Supernatural Short Stories”, dicha antología cuenta con más de 1000 historias y más de 100 autores y por si fuera poco, se incluyen todas las historias de la antigua edición con la excepción de las siguientes 8 novelas y cuentos largos:- The Beckoning Fair One – Oliver Onions- The Great God Pan – Arthur Machen- The Metamorphosis – Franz Kafka- The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde – Robert Louis Stevenson- Carmilla – J. Sheridan Le Fanu- The Turn of the Crew – Henry James- Finger Finger – Margaret Ronan- You Must Flee Again – Paul SpencerSu tabla de contenidos también deja mucho que desear ya que en lugar de que cada historia esté ordenada por título y/o autor, estás se encuentran recopiladas por volumen, y en “Masters of Horror”, si están debidamente organizadas por autor.En conclusión: yo recomendaría adquirir “Masters of Horror” en lugar de “Greatest Ghost & Horror Stories Ever Written” ya que dicha antología contiene muchísimas más historias y una tabla de contenidos superior, pero si también te interesan las novelas antes mencionadas, llévate ambas antologías.
