Appears to do what it's supposed to do.
People purchase this for the UV measurement, and it seems to do that well and fast. Is it accurate? Who knows? I'll assume it is. There is no reason to think otherwise. It gives the measurement quickly. What's odd about this thing is the clock, calendar and buzzer. The instructions to set those functions are obtuse. Got no clue as to how to do them. But it does not matter. No one is buying this thing for any other reason that the UV meter. And it does that well at a good price. If you want to know the date and time, check your smartphone.I see reviews on another similar product complaining that there is no on/off button. There is no on/off button on this one either. No big deal. But the batteries will run down a bit faster.

GREAT & EASY UV METER
This meter is very easy to operate once you follow the instructions to set the date and time. After that it gives the UV rating with just a push of the button. I am glad I bought this model. At 5,600 feet in northern Arizona I wondered what amount of UV was penetrating the windows onto the furniture in the living room and what our bodies received when outside. The instructions have a chart with levels from 1 LEAST, to 10 EXTREME. I was shocked to measure the morning sunlight at a 16 to 17 while the light coming through the tinted windows into the house was a 5. Well worth the money spent.
