I bought this so we could me more specific about the amount of food we were feeding our "chubby" golden retreiver. It's amazing how I can feed him and our labrador retreiver the same amount of food and one of the boys stays lean and the other developed a middle aged dad bod (in a dog)...but let's get back to the review. Enough with the #dogshaming.I did not read the directions. So right off the bat I thought I had an issue with calibration. Then I read the small instruction sheet and realized it was the user. You turn it on while on a table or flat surface and it calibrates. Once calibrated you can use it either in your and or on the table and get good repeatable results. That's all a scale is supposed to do so that was what was most important in my opinion.The scoop can get detached from the scale if you want to wash it. You can also leave it attached and simply scoop out what you need in food and then pour off excess until you get the amount you want to feed them. I bought the larger of the two models and it is nice and narrow so it helps you get repeatable results quickly each time. I have a general idea of where I need to fill it to get my weight. Remember we are going by weight and not volume so it won't always be at that same level.Love the product. Thanks Pet Fusion for another well thought out product. My dogs absolutely love their PetFusion beds too. Maybe you could make a tennis ball launcher? Just sayin' I'll be in the market for one of those soon.

At first I thought I wasted my money on this. The readings were all over the place. I wasn't getting a consistent reading. I finally figured out that I was not locking the cup into the grooves correctly. This was causing the cup to come in contact with the sides of the scale. When connected properly, it works great! If it's connected correctly the cup will not fit tight. You should be able to wiggle it a little bit. I'm giving it 4 stars, would be 5 if it was easier to lock the cup in correctly.

I measure my dogs' food on a scale at home, so this is great for portability, either traveling with the dogs or for someone watching my dogs. It's pretty accurate, but you have to make sure the cup is secured in the scale. When I just place the cup in without securing it, the reading is continuously moving. Also, when you turn it on, make sure it's on a flat surface and your not touching it after you turn it on so it can calibrate correctly.

Easy to use, not sure how it will last, but by that time, I will have marked the weighed levels on the scoop, so in the end the scale wont be used much.The only criticism I would have, is that the batteries were floating around in the bottom of the packing, initially I thought they had been forgotten, please tape them in the scoop. Also the battery cover lugs are extremely fragile, be careful not to snap one or both of them off. Overall very pleased with the scale.

Perfect scale for dog food. My dog was getting over weight and couldn’t figure out why until I got this and realized my scoop 1 cup Mark was way off. This helped me get my dogs weight under control which is a life saver as overweight dogs can lead to many health problems.

I've weighed my dogs' food for years. We travel a lot, so having a bulky scale was a pain. This product is PERFECT for travel!! I bought the smaller one; it easily fits in the bag and I can be sure I'm not overfeeding...which is so easy to do with just a measuring cup.I also recommended this scale to a friend with a (ahem) pudgy dog...she can't be bothered with a food scale. BUT I got her to use this because it's so convenient! So a true WIN WIN!

I have been looking for a product such as this for a long time. Finally Pet Fusion solved my problem. As with myself, my dogs tend to be “pleasantly plump”. In just bringing home a brand new puppy I wanted to make certain that I was feeding her the appropriate amount of food to maintain a healthy weight. The vet suggested weighing all of her food to negate over feeding and this product is just what I needed. Super easy to use. Cleaning is a breeze and loved the additional spare battery included. Just what I needed for my puppy! We are trying to watch is portion size to keep him at ideal weight and this scoop makes that easy. Simply zero out by pressing a button, scoop the food and check the weight. Extra button battery included, which was an added bonus.

After just half a dozen uses this broke. The on/off switch got stuck when depressed and now the item is fit for the bin (which is precisely where I shall deposit it after hitting the "submit" button). The item is nothing short of flimsy and inaccurate, which is hardly surprising given that it is manufactured in PRC. I have no intention of inconveniencing myself by making a special trip to the post office and paying more postage to return the wretched thing. This is NOT a quality item by any means. The window that displays the weight is small and the mode indicator is absolutely tiny. Reading glasses are a must if one is to interpret with so much as a modicum of accuracy the results of the pet food being weighed.

This digital weigher is brilliant.Very easy to use.Place the weigher on a flat surface, turn on, wait for it to turn to 0, scoop up the food to weight you want.I use this for my puppy.Highly recommended.

Great little scales for the job. The different modes allows various weight measurements and the hold button is a fabulous function. For the price - super!

Useless. Doesn't work most of the time & when it does, it's totally inaccurate.
