ok this is another money making scheme from george lucas i bought the originals in a box set and the movies ofcourse are brillient and remembered always, but i saw these(directors cut) at my cousins house and to me they the originals didn't need tinkering at all this box is really about making money and lucas is getting better at it everytime he releases a movie it's like the fact that he and speilburg still haven't released any of the indiana jones or the starwars movies on dvd because they know that we will buy it so what the rush, if you want my advice stay away from this box set and get the originals in a box set or wait for the dvds but don't waste time on these which are there to make lots of money.

While we wait for new installments of the Starwars trilogy the original Starwars is back again to keep us happy for a while longer. The trilogy gets better in each installment as we follow Luke Skywalkers journey from a young boy to Jedi Knight fighting against the evil empire.All three films stand up to any modern hollywood film even with the first StarWars being released in 1977.A classic Trilogy available again to own on video for us all to enjoy while we wait for Episode 2 which is scheduled to be released in May 2002..Can i wait..Well ill have to,but this will keep every StarWars fan happy in the meantime.The Force Is Strong In This One.

Being in the UK it's really hard to find barnes and noble leatherbound classics that are not really expensive. I got this book as used good but when it arrived it was perfect so I definitely got a bargain and I'm so happy to have found this by a seller willing to ship to from the USA to the UK

I just finished reading Part One; A New Hope. And I was startled to see that Luke was called Blue Five during the battle of Yavin. In the movie and in Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker he's called Red Five. And on Star Wars Fandom he's also called Red Five.So why does this book #1 have him as Blue Five? So strange to me.Other than that, I loved reading it again. I read it when I was a kid and never caught the Blue Five discrepancy.

Star Wars ist Programm. Ich muss zugeben, dass ich mit Star Wars anfangs nicht warm geworden bin. Ich habe Episode IV vor einer Ewigkeit gesehen und ging da eher mit gemischten Gefühlen raus. 2015, mit dem Hype um The Force Awakens, hat mich das Star Wars-Fieber dann doch letztenendes gepackt. An einem Abend habe ich mir diese Originaltrilogie gegeben und war hin und weg.Episode IV: A New Hope (9/10):War seinerzeit natürlich ein Meilenstein und eines der ersten Blockbuster. Ich liebe den Film, trotz seiner Schlichtheit. Weiß und Schwarz. Gut und Böse. Darth Vader muss aufgehalten werden. Die Story ist nicht der Rede wert und ich kann trotzdem nicht beschreiben, warum dieser Film selbst nach 40 Jahren nichts von seiner Faszination verloren hat. Es ist einfach ein schöner Film - sprichwörtlich und wortwörtlich. Special Edition hin oder her.Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (10/10):Ganz klar der beste Star Wars Film. Alles was an A New Hope gut war, nimmt dieser Film und macht es noch besser. Der ist dunkler, erwachsener und die Charaktere erhalten mehr Tiefgang, was letztenendes zu einem der größten Plottwists der Filmgeschichte führt. Phänomenal !Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi (8/10):Ganz klar der schwächste Teil der drei. Mein Hauptkirikpunkt sind die Ewoks. Natürlich sind die nur da wegen den Dineros. Star Wars-Toys gingen schon damals weg wie warme Brötchen. Die Qualität von Return Of The Jedi hat nur ein wenig drunter gelitten. Trotzdem ist Return Of the Jedi ein cooler Abschluss dieser Trilogie.Die Bildqualität ist in allen drei Teilen kontinuierlich klasse, wenn auch nicht 100% perfekt. Es gibt halt ein paar altersbedingte Mängel wie vereinzelte Unschärfen aber im Großen und Ganzen ist das Bild super. Sehr gute Schärfe und Detailwerte und eine tolle Farbwiedergabe. Die Bildqualität der drei Teile ergeben ein stimmiges Gesamtbild und sind perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt.In Sachen Tonqualität gibt es bei der englischen Tonspur so gut wie keine Mängel. Für so alte Filme klingen die ziemlich frisch und weitestgehend aktuell. Von den Dialogen bis hin zu den brachialen Momenten überrascht der Sound durch einen außerordentlichen Soundmix.Extras gibt es in diesem Set nur in Audiokommentar-Form. Videobasiertes Material ist hier nicht vorzufinden, was schade ist.

Je suis très déçue par la vidéo trilogie Starwars. Je l’ai achetée sur Amazon France et je ne peux pas la visionner en français, c’e Un comble, surtout que c’était pour un cadeau. Je vais la retourner.
