When the back up camera went out on my 2014 Honda Accord EX-L, I first looked into the cost of getting it fixed at the dealer (~$500), then made a decision to just replace it myself. My first purchase on Amazon was a cheap Chinese part that cost about $40. I wish I had looked past the generally positive reviews to see that this was a "frequently returned item." After taking all the time to install that cheap camera, it did not work. I returned it and decided to order this one, which was more expensive than that Chinese part but still over $100 cheaper than the OEM replacement. It arrived quickly and installation was a breeze. Best of all, starting up the car and popping it into reverse brought a nice clear picture to the screen on the dashboard – even better than the OEM. Even though this unit was more 3X the cost of the initial one I tried, it works perfectly and still saved me hundreds of dollars versus taking the car to the dealer.

Purchases for 2017 Honda Accord. It fits perfectly. It actually has a better view than the original factory camera. I would highly recommend this manufacturer.

This is exactly what I was looking for as a replacement back up camera for my 2016 Honda Accord LX. The one that came installed in my Honda when brand new crapped out for no reason and I have been without one for 3 years now. I finally broke down and bought this one. It was easy to install, the picture quality is excellent. I hope this one lasts the rest of the life of my Honda. So glad I found this product.

When my factory installed backup camera lens got fogged inside, my local dealer wanted like $600 total to replace it, so I decided to do the work myself. I’m not a “car person” but the process to install that on my 2017 Honda Accord was easy and only took 20 minutes.This camera has a wider angle view behind the car than the original, which I like. However, I don’t think the distance overlay is as accurate since the view is not the same. Also, I think the camera is a bit darker at night than the original. On the plus side, it works just fine with all of the view modes my car offers, which is something many cheaper cameras don’t support.The unit fit perfectly into the spot above my license plate and the wiring leading to the harness is the same length as the original.You will receive a box with the part and a single plastic zip tie. There are no directions for use nor warranty information included.All-in-all, I’m happy. This camera works well and has an improved viewing angle compared to the original, though for this price I do with the low-light performance was better.

The media could not be loaded.  Backup camera on 2015 Accord Touring went dark. Amazon reviews and YouTube installation videos highly recommended this replacement.Works perfectly. Plug and play. Easy to rate 5 stars!

If anyone is trying to install this on a 2014 Honda Accord sedan, you must remove the chrome strip on the trunk/boot.Here are my steps1. Open the trunk/boot and remove the carpet lining. There are fasteners along the edges that are removal with a flat head screwdriver. There is a small slot you can insert the screwdriver into without damaging the fasteners.-once remove you'll have access to your old camera and now is a good time to plug in your new one to test it before further installation2. There are TWO 10mm bolts inside of the trunk/boot as well as TWO clips holding onto the chrome strip. Undo the bolts, and then use needle nosed pliers to pinch the clips to release.-this should release the chrome strip all together3. Removing your old camera. Front the inside of your trunk/boot on the right side (if you are facing forward) push in the clip of the camera and with your other hand pull the camera outward.-this part may be a little tricky, I ended up breaking the clip of my old camera4. Installing your new camera. From the outside, feed the wire in first, then hook the left side of the camera in place, and then you can push in the right side to clip it into the wiring.5. From here it's just a matter of install your chrome strip back, bolting it down, and re applying your carpet.

I have a 2017 accord hybrid touring with all the bells and whistles. I recently upgraded my 7” screen factory head unit navi/radio with an aftermarket 10” screen head unit. The factory backup camera works with the new screen, but the quality was bad. Bought a $40 cheap aftermarket camera that had ‘perfect’ reviews from amazon and replaced the factory cam. SUPER grainy and practically unusable! (PHOTO #2). Dont settle for cheap, guys!! I removed the cheap aftermarket cam and returned it right away. Made the jump to buy a dorman backup cam for 3x the price. Came in one day. Installed it and WOW! It was crystal clear! (PHOTO #1) A lot better than the factory cam and 1000x better than the aftermarket competitor. Definitely worth every penny!

I am very happy to be able to use my backup camera again on my Honda Accord!This camera works perfectly, and installed like a glove.Simple plug and play, worked immediately.Watched a video on YouTube for the installation, easy and straight forward.Dorman comes highly recommended.This brand is more expensive than some others, but from what I researched, well worth the difference in price.So far, for the short time I've had this, I endorse it's purchase.Hope this helps.Don

Part fits as advertised. Plug and play. I would 100% recommend this part as a replacement for 2014 Honda Accord Sedan EXL factory (OEM) back-up camera.

What a miracle item. Works well for my Honda Accord and gives a clear image in the receiver. I haven't had it long enough to distinguish if it truly let's the elements in but I'm going to put a silicon seal around and call it a day.The official camera is over $450. This just makes financial sense. Watch a video on how to remove the chrome trim and carpet and it'll be an easy fix.

Works and fits the space and harness like OEM with easy installation (UTube videos for that). Spouse driving the Honda thinks the camera image is a litte nicer.But the shape is not OEM and has an open area built into the housing which I covered with layers of duct tape to prevent dust, moisture and grime entering the trunk. Not at all worried about grime entering the camera as it appears to be well sealed.
