Imation 8mm Cleaning Cartridge (20 Cleanings, 1-Pack)

Im digitizing old Hi8 videos. After cleaning the heads with this cartridge, I notice fewer dropouts, or is it just the tape getting smoothed out?

First, mine had a white film/powder on the inside of the box...Why?Ran the tape as explained, didn't seem to do anything, no sound, no movement, nothing! don' know if it was working or not. Disappointed in product. Used this as a preventative measure as the heads were not clogged at the time.

8mm Head cleaner would not run

The item showed up on time and in good condition. The problem is that it comes with literally no information. How long are you supposed to run it? How many times can you re-use it, if at all? How do you know it’s done the job.There’s nothing anywhere on line that tells you what to expect or what to do so, did it work? I didn’t notice a change in tthe playback so I’ll say “no”
