This is a fun puzzle but quite difficult! Odd shaped pieces and quill-like fur make it very challenging. I think a 5 year old may feel discouraged.

We've been doing a lot of jigsaw puzzles and were really attracted to these animal shaped puzzles. It's a large puzzle, with easily handled large pieces. There are variations in the color of the fur that makes it not too hard, and the end result is a cool fox. The experience was marred, however, by badly warped pieces. We had previously done the shark, it had the same problem. This time I spent twenty or so minutes unbending them as best I could, and that helped, but didn't fix it. The warping made it difficult at times to fit the pieces together.

I bought this puzzle for my 5 year old niece for Christmas. She absolutely LOVES red pandas and puzzles! She had so much fun putting together this cute and uniquely shaped puzzle. The only flaw was ... it was missing a piece! She was devastated. Since I bought the puzzle two months earlier, it was too late to contact anyone to replace the missing piece. I may have to try to "make" it myself.

High quality puzzle and so cute! It was a good challenge for my 7 years old that loves putting puzzles together. The puzzle pieces are similar in size and shape so it requires you to make sure the colors and design are actually lining up. It is a high quality picture (in my opinion). We glued it and hung it on my 7 years old's bedroom wall. It's so cute!

My 7 YO loves puzzles and Red Pandas so he was quite excited about this gift for Christmas. My younger son received a bear cub one for a birthday gift and he is even able to work with the puzzle piece sizes. We've been very happy with the quality of this Brand's puzzles.

Really cute puzzle with much higher resolution photo than shows. It says ages 5 and up, but that would be with some serious assistance by an adult or much older child. But fun to have a challenge that turns out so big and cute. Poster sized!

This fox puzzle was an absolute gem to find! My seven year old grandson is crazy about foxes and I was thrilled to find a puzzle that was literally ALL fox! His birthday is today so it hasn’t been opened or assembled but the packaging is sturdy and it came in great shape.5 stars for this puzzle!

This was given as a gift....they loved it.....they do alot of puzzles and this was for the children. They loved the whole picture..shape etc. Nothing like what they had done before.

This is a delightful jigsaw , just right for a little girl obsessed with foxes. Great quality too .

This puzzle like all madcap puzzles is of excellent quality. This is only 100 pieces and is great for beginners to start on

This puzzle is easy to do and looks like real fur when completed. Everyone who has seen it loves it.

Puzzle is nice overall. Unfortunately a lot of the pieces were bent so it doesn’t fit together perfectly and it does not sit perfectly flat like a Ravensberger does.
