It is practically useless on an HDMI TV
Does not work with a 'legacy' Sharp VHS/DVD combi. Poor pic quality and sound from DVDs. NO VISION and very poor sound from VHSs I know the Sharp unit works well via either scart or component on an old TV I have but on contemporary HDMI only LG... forget it.AVOID THIS PRODUCT.

May not work with some DVD
I have an old Arcam DVD player that only supports a defunct version of HDMI and cannot upscale, so I use it with an equally old Dell LCD screen with component video inputs. I bought the converter hoping to retire the old screen.When the converter works, it gives a good picture. Disney's Frozen looked great, so did Revenge of the Pink Panther, and about half the films I tried. The rest showed me the copyright screen then went blank, presumably due to the copy protection kicking in.It's a neat little unit, aside from an overly intrusive power light, but mine is back in the box until I really need it.

Works great with original xbox
The product arrived quickly and works for exactly what I wanted, I used it to connect my xbox to a pc monitor and there have been no problems.

Auspacken, anschließen ... funktioniert auf Anhieb. Die Bildqualität selbst von älteren DVDs ist erstaunlich gut. Kein ruckeln, pixeln oder ähnliches ... einfach sauber!Wertiges Metallgehäuse und solide Anschlüsse. Wer so etwas sucht: zugreifen!

Kein Bild, keine Funktion
The media could not be loaded. Das Gerät ausgepackt, angeschlossen an eine PS2, am Denon Receiver kein Bild, egal welcher Eingang oder welches HDMI Kabel. Dann direkt an den Fernseher angeschlossen: nur sporadisches Flackern wie im Video aber kein Bild. Die PS2 mit dem selben Component Kabel liefert über einen anderen Receiver fehlerfreies Bild. Diese Kiste wandert direkt in die Rücksendung und dann hoffentlich den Müll
