The suction cup on the back of this drill bit guide doesn't hold it in place at all. I tried it on a flat smooth horizontal surface. I moistened the surface, set the guide in place and flipped the lever to engage the suction cup, but it lifted right off without any resistance.Also tried it on the vertical tile that I needed to drill – which is rougher than the test surface that I tried it on – and it fell right off.

Bought this for installing a shower door when I modeled the bathroom. The tile I used was porcelain. Thought this would make the drilling much easier. My wife showed me a video from tic tok on how easy it was, and the whole process looked like a no brainer. When I was ready to drill (vertical) the wall I could not get the suction cup on the device to stay on the wall. The idea is sound, but I could not get it to work. Cleaned the wall and the suction cut; nothing. Even added a little moisture to create a better seal; nothing. Somethings are to good to be true. Not worth it to me, and would not recommend. Going to return it.
