Buyer Beware!
The Chattervox 100 is an overly expensive and poorly made device which has absolutely no backup as far as support goes. The unit I purchased had charging port problems, so I tried to call the Chattervox people for a repair. The man at Asyst Communications, the supposed "real" Chattervox dealer, told me since I had purchased it online, that it might not be a real Chattervox unit (bald faced lie). So, I told him that I would buy a new one and I would send my original unit back to him for repair and then use as a backup. He said send it back and we'll fix it. I never could reach this man again and the one I sent back has disappeared. It was my fault for trusting these people but please beware that there are a number of people hawking them and they are not a very reliable or well made product. You could do a lot better for a lot less. Because of the price, you think you are getting a quality unit. Not True. Do Not Buy This Product

That use took a toll on it so this was a replacement for a good and faithful tool
I am an entertainer (Storyteller, Ventriloquist, Magician) have used a ChatterVox for many years. That use took a toll on it so this was a replacement for a good and faithful tool. I am looking forward to many years of service from this one. It is an amazingly powerful unit easily working for my children's shows in school gyms and multi-purpose rooms. I very much recommend it.

Best Voice Amp for ALS Patient with BiPap Oxygen Mask
For hearing ALS Patients.A friend is an ALS patient (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) who wears a BiPap oxygen mask 24/7.The BiPap mask forms a tight seal around the nose and mouth and all but muffles his voice. Any mic must pick up the voice through the sealed Oxygen mask. For various reasons it cannot be placed inside the mask.I tried different amps (most are variations of the same) and settled on the unique Chattervox 100. It is compact, solidly built and easy to use.The ChatterVox microphones are all Back Electret Condenser mics, with Uni-Directional Polar Pattern, ie. pointing the mic straight at the patient’s mouth, it picks up the voice and excludes surrounding or background noise. The Collar Mic is flexible, wraps around the neck and is “directable”. The Pencil Mic is solid and compact, a superb handheld mic.Quality Lavalier (or lapel) mics work especially well with the ChatterVox. The alligator clip attaches to a strap alongside the mask, placing the mic close to the patient’s mouth. We are able to hear 75-85% of the patient’s speech vs. next to nothing without the mic.As the patient inevitably declines over the months and the voice weakens, and the amp volume is turned up, the chance of feedback increases. There is -- logically, by definition -- no headphone jack on the ChatterVox (nor on other speech amps).I found a few options for listening through headphones: 1) Zoom H1 Recorder (in ready mode, not recording) 2) iRig 2 Pre-Amp 3) The PockeTalker — all good. The higher cost of the ChatterVox is a small price to pay for helping a friend or loved one communicate.Their Customer Support is experienced and helpful.
