I've been going to the beach since I was a kid. There's no place I'd rather be. But the one thing that I've always hated is the sand! As a teen, I kept a couple of inexpensive lounge chairs in my trunk all during the summer. But they were cumbersome to carry, didn't offer a lot of room, and took up space in my car. Beach towels were easier to transport, but again, they didn't give you much space and they tended to flap over if you didn't weigh down the corners. And unless you took an extra towel, you'd end up sanding off some skin every time you tried to dry off! At one point I had a king sized quilt I'd take with me, but although it helped, it was heavy to schlep around and was worse if it got wet. And all of those options meant that I ended up with what seemed like half of the beach in my car when I packed up to leave!This product has been AMAZING! It's HUGE! I bought it last summer for our annual vacation to the beach. It easily fit 3 of us and left room for our towels, clothes and a small cooler. We had plenty of space around the edges to wipe off excess sand so our towels stayed pretty clean and the material stayed cool in the summer sun. Best of all, the included stakes ensured that the blanket stayed securely down even when the breeze kicked up. It's easy to shake the sand off when you pack up and it rolls up nicely to fit back in the storage bag, so almost no sand gets carried back to your car! And it's small enough to keep in your trunk year round without taking up space.My only (minor) complaint is that the metal stakes are pretty thin and easy to bend if you aren't careful when you push them into packed sand. They lasted through two weeks worth of trips to the beach and I'm confident they should probably last this summer as well. After that, I might need to see about getting some replacements. But everything else about this product is so great, I am willing to overlook this one small flaw.

I bought this product for the beach. The blanket is not sand proof if you're expecting the sand to go thru the blanket. You still have to shake it off. It gets very hot once it's in the sun also so might not be good for children. It is very light weight so that's both a good & bad thing; bad because the sand pockets do not hold it down enough is it's windy. You'll still have to put stuff down to hold it in place. I will still use it as it is VERY spacious but i'm sure to tell whoever is laying on it that it's best to lay on it once you're wet :)

This isn't the kind of blanket you use to keep warm on frigid nights. This is the kind of blank you use to spread out at the beach or at the park so you and friends can lounge around. It's huge - biggest I've been able to find. It's got these cool sand pockets at the corners, which you fill with sand and the blanket doesn't blow around. It's a thin, strong, nylon-like material that you can shake off easily, and pack tightly. This blanket rocks.5/5 all day.

I used this blanket 3 times this past week while in Myrtle Beach and I’m so glad that we had it. It’s a really big blanket so when 5 people wanted to lay out on it they could with room to spare. It really was so easy to clean, hardly any sand stayed on top of it when all of the children were walking around on it, and being able to roll it up and have it fit back in the bag that came with it made my day! My sister in law who spends a lot of time at the beach commented on how great the blanket was too!!

This “blanket” is awesome! I put blanket in quotations because it’s not really a blanket, but what it IS is a large place marker for a day At the beach or the lake. This past summer my family and I spent most weekends exploring new beaches and lakes. We got tired of trying to lay out multiple towels - we even bought a bet sheet to lay out. This material stays cool and dries quickly! It’s also super large which was great because the 4 of us never felt cramped. The steaks and sand pockets help it stay put. Overall awesome! I highly recommend this product.

Super lightweight and folds into a small bag which is convenient. The material is comfortable and soft to lay or sit on. Water can easily be pushed away from mat which is good when you are wet from swimming. Definitely a big mat so you can fit plenty of people or fold it to be smaller for two.

Worked as described. We used sand in the bags on the corners to hold it down and had no issues. Made for a nice floor for our 12x12 tent. Sand came off easy and bags empty by turning them inside out. Packed it up and deployed it over a 5 day period and never had issues.

Excellent beach blanket. Packs into its own carry bag and takes up very little room. Good purchase.
