Cackle Hatchery Roost Boost - Training Roost for Brooder Chicks

I was unimpressed at first. It wasn't clear how assemble initially as the holes seemed way too small for the rods. But I followed the instructions and it went together just fine. The chicks took a while to figure it out. The roost did exactly what I needed it to do. Now at 8 weeks the brahma chicks are too big for the roost but I am really happy with the purchase.

This is not a sturdy piece at all. My 2 and 3 week old chicks would jump on it, and it would tip over. They didn't give up though. They kept jumping on it and it would flip over. It is very flimsy.

I was a little disappointed, wasn’t super sturdy but the chicks were fine. They are too big for it now. But it serves the purpose.

This is a great chick roost, the only thing I would recommend if you get this is to have a drill handy. I had to make the holes bigger for the roost to fit. I had 17 chicks and only had one wish I would have gotten two just because only two could hang out on it after two weeks.

It is cute and works for itty bitty chicks but within about 2-3 weeks I just kept finding it falling apart as it is pretty flimsy. I imagine you could make a wooden one for pretty cheap and then it will be durable enough to last more than a couple weeks. Chicks grow FAST!

Terrible product. It’s so cheap and flimsy that when my 3 week old chicks jump up onto the red poles, the whole thing flips over. Really easy to assemble and clean, but since it doesn’t work, those aspects are completely pointless.

Within a week my chicks were hopping all over this thing. You want to place it near the wall or else it will flip on it's side if more than 1 chick gets on it. It was worth the $$. They liked it.

This is the cutest thing invented for chicks! They LOVE it. It works well until they get a little bigger then it can't hold their weight and it falls over...but great and super cute when they are small!
