They're OK
A third protector in the set would have been great. These protectors are thick which makes it a little more difficult to stretch the tire over the rim. Once the tire is partly on the rim, it's a pain to move the protectors because they don't slide along the rim very easily and your needs to reach up inside the tire to grab them. I'm probably not explaining it well so suffice it to say they're a bit awkward to use because of the bulkiness. They have held to up to abuse of removing and mounting three bikes/six tires.

Not for street bikes rims
I purchased these for use on street bike rims. They work well once or twice but if too much pressure is applied (such as low profile tires) they tear right through the soft material. Had to be ridiculously careful not to damage the wheel. I have since bought a set made of a more rigid material and I hope that they hold up better that these did. All that being said if they were for a lower pressure application I think they would work very nicely. They snapped on well and held their position during use.

They work.
It works pretty well. Maybe a bit overpriced for what it is. You can really do the same thing with a cut up milk jug, although not quite as efficiently.
