Fabulous book. Lots of relevant information to help in buying property
A great read. I know so much more from reading this book. I'm much more confident in what type of properties I will buy as well as structure in which to buy them.

Excellent introduction to property investment
Excellent introduction to property investment. I read it front to back in 2 days. I am inspired to do something more with the reserves I have, and property investment in Australia seems a little less daunting now, having read this book.

Excellent
Great book. I have read many books on real estate but this is the best. Michael cuts to the chase and it is an easy read. I will buy his other books now.

Good concepts for property investments and many very useful ideas - changed in a way how I think about work and money and investments. Certain things the author discusses, though, are not applicable in the US.

Perfect for all kind
I opened this book with great expectations and the book certainly did not disappoint. This book provides deep insights, for someone who may be new to this or someone who's got some experience in investing, into different business structures, getting your finance and some miscellaneous topics. I work in the financial sector myself and still feel benefited greatly from reading this book. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wishes to know more about tax-effective business structures for investing boosted with asset protection. Thanks Michael for sharing your knowledge with us. I look forward to reading your next book.

Interesting content about taxation, trusts and offsets, but a lot of repetition
There is a lot of value here, but there are certainly parts you can skim as they become exceedingly repetitive. I'm also sure there are straight up cut and pastes from his other book on building a multimillion dollar portfolio in your spare time

A must-read for Australian property investors
Michael Yardney has been extremely generous with his knowledge in this book. I am a beginner property investor and I found this book most informative and inspiring. I would recommend this book to any property investor in Australia as this is easily one of the best books on the market for Australian investors. I particularly enjoyed his tips on negotiating and closing the deal in Chapter 39.

Education, Education, Education...
This is a well written and provides a broad base of understanding concerning tax, finance and legalities of residential investment. A broad and working knowledge of the various financial structures (unit trusts, family trusts, companies, personal investors, to name a few) is provided. Practical pros and cons plus learned directions are conveyed throughout. The book leads into, and provides, a foundation for seeking effective tax strategies. There is a good introduction to the basic legalities too, including some contractual tips, experience, and pitfalls to watch out for. You will come away with a broad working knowledge of the fundamentals. It took 2 full days to read thoroughly and once finished you realise the more you know the less you know. Just as the book indicates throughout; this area of investment requires education, education and more education. The need to surround yourself with experts and the key reasons to do so become apparent. After becoming comfortable with the idea of large amounts of good debt (read Michael's other book and this one) you now must assess the shear effort and expertise involved in establishing the structures and financial practices of a successful residential real estate investment business. It can be likened to a university textbook where the fundamentals are given and further learning is required in many (if not all) areas - yet unlike a university textbook much valuable practical experience is shared.
