Loved it and I really recommend. Buying books from this seller supports Goodwill!
The book had very little wear, only one small part was bent. It was exactly as advertised. I loved it. I love this book. I had been looking for this book for years, I just had never found it. So excited to keep reading it, I already started to read it again. The first time I read it was about eight or nine years ago.

[Too] Easy of a Read for 14 Year Old
My daughter is interested in storms, tornadoes, hurricanes, and so on. She is 14 so we knew this book would be an easy read for her... and it was... She really enjoyed the book. We both didn't like that the chapters were so short.

Storm Runners-Adventure of a Lifetime!
Roland Smith fans will be excited to get their hands on this first in a trilogy. Once again Mr. Smith has found the topic that tweens and teens are wanting to read about. Storm Runners takes one resourceful young man, Chase, and shoves him and two friends into the middle of a category five hurricane desparately trying to find their way home. Chase, meanwhile has to use all of his knowledge of survival and use his common sense to move even several feet. All the time on the lookout for debris, water and animals all trying to escape the the terrible storm. Storm Runners is the perfect book for that hard to reach reader. At one hundred forty three pages it is just long enough to get a reluctant reader interested. For the adventure lover, it is action packed with daring escapes and some tragedy. As always Mr. Smith characters are smart, funny, but also with a conscience. His books walk that fine line between a cool teen read but without all of the mature topics of some teen literature. An excellent read!!

Should Have Been Combined With Surge
I am a teacher and like to read the books that my students are interested in so that I can be knowledgeable enough to discuss the books with them. Storm Runners was not my first Roland Smith book, so I expected the same great writing and suspense that I found in Cryptid Hunters. The suspense and plot were well laid out and kept my full attention, but the abrupt ending of this short novel was a huge disappointment. After reading the sequel, Surge, I felt that the two books could easily have been combined into one book, which would have made more sense and not required me to buy two very small books. If you put the two Storm Runners books together they are still not as thick as the Cryptid Hunters book. So, I spent $11.98 for two books that are smaller than one I spent $6.99 for. Not sure if this was a marketing strategy or the publisher just wanted more money, but in my opinion, this was not the best way to present the story.

The Good and Bad Things About Storm Runners
Storm Runners is a great story with awesome action and confusing parts.Chase is the main character in the story. He goes to school with a girl named Nicole. A hurricane named Emily headed to their school. They head back to their home on a school bus, but it flips. They get stuck in the swamp. The confusing parts are when the author introduces characters without explaining who they are in the beginning. This is a warning, but keep reading it because it gets good.I recommend this book to my brother Cole and to other people who like books with action. Even though the beginning is confusing, it has amazing action, and I think people will like it.

Hurricane Survival
Like many of Smith's books, this one presents a survival situation where the main character must use his/her wits to survive. The book provides just enough tension to make the reader want to finish the book and find out what happens to Chase and his new found friends. Being the first of a trilogy, however, means that the book ends on a cliffhanger. Chase's situation presents the reader with a glimpse into just how terrifying and dangerous hurricanes really are. Recommended for those who like survival stories.
