Infinity Ring Book 3: The Trap Door

My daughter loves the series.
My 9-year-old daughter likes the series. She enjoys the plot and that it has so much action. She does wish that some of the words (the proper nouns) weren't so hard to pronounce so that she could read it on her own.

Good, but...
The book itself was really good. I just feel like I'm missing something. Dak, Riq, and Sera never went to the White House, and only went to the 18th century Paris for about 5 seconds! Where did Dak get that soda bottle, and what did the author mean when she said Sera wishes they had taken bathes in the White House? Do you, whomever is reading this, understand what I mean? And if you do, please explain to me what I'm missing.

My daughter loves these books
The Infinity Ring franchise seems to be an attempt to teach kids some history by allowing the set of main characters to experience that history first hand. While they blur the line between actual events and the fiction that makes their books work, these books are a very approachable way to get younger children (maybe 8-12) into history. The only down side is that the writing is not great. That being said, my daughter loves them and always begs me for the new one when it comes out.

Glad I found this series
My 8 year old loves this series, he reads at a 6th grade level so it's a challenge to find hard enough books that aren't inappropriate for him to read, this series has been an amazing find for us!

Entertaining
I have found that this series is a good blend of history and mystery. I love that kids can learn about key historical facts, that are accurate, while not even realizing they are doing it. This book especially did a great job of showing the unfriendly topic of slavery in a kid perspective.

Love this series
A little bit of extreme personalities, a little bit of science, a little bit of history, with comedy and adventure all mixed together. My upper-graders in the library loved listening to the 1st book, and I couldn't put down the rest of the books. Waiting impatiently to keep reading.

Very good, enjoyable read!
Once again, an enjoyable trip through history as Dak, Sera, and Riq work to repair the Breaks, the areas where history took a wrong turn. this time they find themselves back in the 1850's, helping to keep the Underground Railroad working. But things don;t quite go to plan...
