Looks nice feels cheap
There is a reason it is Caravelle by Bulova. It looks good enough to be a Bulova, feels cheap enough to be worth $10. The links are hollow. My armitron felt more solid than this. I guess they were going for light weight rather than luxurious feel. However, while wearing it, it feels absolutely fine. It is just while playing with it in your hand do you notice how cheap it feels. It is light and hollow.The back protective sticker has a sticker on it that says Japan movement Hong Kong band. They were too embarrassed to engrave that information on the back plate. By the way, the backplate is a standard Bulova plate that does not say Caravelle anywhere on it. They really should drop this whole Caravelle thing and brand all their watches Bulova.To adjust the links takes a needle and lots of force. I stabbed myself very badly trying to remove the links. The links are not connected by spring pins or screws, they are solid pins that need to be pushed through the stamped steel link.My first reaction with this watch was poor, mainly because it is very light. After wearing it, I like this watch.

Very well rounded watch
I got this watch recently after looking through many watches from many brands and retailers. I got this watch because of its slim design, shininess, and overall design features. One hitch about this watch is than it is hard to adjust and many jewelers cannot do it either (I was lucky). To adjust this watch you have to put a nail diagonally into the hole in the link and tap the hidden pin out in the direction of the arrow. The best thing to do is to find a jeweler who sells bulova watches. This watch can compare with watches up to five times the price, so I dont have to be ashamed among $1000 watch wearers. This is NOT an everyday watch, though. For an everyday watch, check out the armitron and seiko collections. Overall, this is a very stylish and shiny watch perfect for wearing out to formal events. Please note that this watch has no date indicator on it, so if you want one, there is a fairly similar one out there for a fairly similar price. This watch was well worth the money.

Not what was expected
The watch is nice looking, lighter than other Bolova watches I have had, and the wristband does seem chincy. The face of the watch is a deep purple and not blue, which was a disappointment as it was a Christmas gift for my brother in the Army. I would place the value of this watch at what you are paying for a $40 watch, not a $100 watch at a deal. It is great if that's what your looking for though-a nice basic watch.

Cheap and stylish!
Its a wonderful watch, and obviously you get what you paid for. The watch is very light and works perfectly, its a simple watch and it wasn't until after I bought it that I wished it had a date window. But besides that, everything works, the clasp is firm and the crown is easy to pull out and push in. Couldn't ask for more!

In 1875, a young Czech immigrant named Joseph Bulova set up shop in New York City, and a legendary American watch brand was born.
