Touch / Seven / to the Max

All three of my favorite Con-Funk-Shun albums all on 2 CD's. I was very happy to find this for a good price. Con-Funk-Shun is a great funk/soul/R&B band and the albums on this CD are their best work. "Touch" is a funky album with my favorite song by them called "Lady's Wild" on it, and it even has the 12" mix also. and the "Seven" album has the song "Body Lovers" (regular & 12" mix included} and the ballad "California 1".And finally it's. "To The Max" it has another one of my faves on it called "Ain't Nobody Baby" (which bass-line reminds me of The Reddings song "Class") and of course the song "Ms. Got-the-Body" (both regular & 12" mix} This collection is Con-Funk-Tastic. 5/5

I have been collecting ConFunkShun albums for about 8 years and have only been able to get two on CD format, Secrets and Spirit Of Love. When Cherry Red released Loveshine and Candy together last year, I jumped at the chance to purchase it. Now three more rare and hard to find sets are in one collection. Touch and 7 have good party jams and a few ballads, while To The Max stands out with the classic "Love's Train" and "Ms. Got the Body". All three albums are a delight regardless if you're into ConFunkShun or classic R&B from the early 80's. I feel that the majority of their music was better in the late 70's, but the sound had to change going into the new decade, and there were slight changes on the Candy album. Once Spirit Of Love and Touch rolled around, you could hear the difference in their sound. The end results were still pretty good. Enjoy.

This double CD covers three of the band's best albums. From 1980-1982, the hits include Body Lovers, Love's Train, Ain't Nobody, Baby and others. Many album cuts showcase their musicianship, production and songwriting. A great addition to any fans of the band and soul music collectors. Have been out of print for many years so great to see these on CD at last.

I pre-ordered this back in early November and it finally arrived. "Touch" was my favorite Con Funk Shun album growing up. I wondered if this would ever be released. I hope everyone who wants one gets a copy. The memories flooded back when I played it. "7' and "To The Max" are great bonuses and my Con Funk Shun collection is now complete.

I thought that I had all of ConFunkShun's music, but I did not. To have these 3 albums on one CD was awesome. The digital quality is great. I love this CD.

Good to see Con Funk Shun's back catalogue getting an airing, I have a few of their LPs on vinyl and always wanted the rest but refused to pay the ridiculous Japanese import prices that seemed was to be the only way to own the albums on vinyl.These albums are so funky, maybe not their best but miles better than the bland, no soul R&B that you get these days.That's 7 of their 11 Mercury albums that's been released on the 2 for 1 / 3 for 1 formats and I so hope the other 4 (Electric Lady, Burnin' Love, Spirit Of Love and Fever) make a welcome appearence in the near future.

I got this when i saw that Touch was on it. I wasn't dissappointed with the other tracks and was worth the money. Came within days of order. I was 'Touched'

pour tous les amateurs de funk à avoir dans sa collection, groupe californien avec michael cooper au chant, qui à ensuite eu une carrière solo,disques longtemps recherché en vinyle chez MERCURY records, bien coté à l'époque avant toute ses réeditions, trois bon albums. A se procurer aussi, l'album" fever"de 1983 c'est un grand amateur qui vous le dit!
