Billy Franks Gluten Free Beef Jerky - High Protein - Healthy Keto Snack - Biltong - Texan BBQ - 10 Packs x 30g

I bought this hoping that it would be good. I genuinely wanted this turkey jerky to taste good, because I've had some really good beef jerky before and was hoping that this would be up to par. Unfortunately not.I should say, that I am not at all a fussy eater. I'll eat just about anything as long as it tastes half-decent. But this jerky really wasn't good.First off, many of the pieces were way too tough. And I'm aware that this is jerky and that it's going to be a bit tough, and every now and then you may not get a great piece. But almost all of the pieces were so tough, that biting into them was not pleasant and chewing them wasn't great either (some pieces tasted a bit gritty). After a packet, your teeth start hurting. And just for context, I have perfectly good dental health and no teeth problems - it was just the sheer hardness of the jerky. Definitely avoid this if you have any weak teeth, or are prone to tooth aches, because it will cause you problems.Next, there was the flavour. Most of the pieces tasted alright (not outstanding; fairly mediocre for this flavour of jerky). But every now and then, maybe 1 or 2 in every pack, I would get a piece that tasted REALLY bad. It's difficult to describe the taste, but it almost tasted of fat, and slightly of uncooked meat (I'm not saying it was necessarily under cooked, but only that the taste resembled that). This left a bad aftertaste in my mouth, and I had to get rid of it with water. In fact, a lot of the pieces gave a bad aftertaste. They didn't taste bad immediately, but left a bad aftertaste. And to be honest, the aftertaste wasn't terrible , but as I said before, it bad enough that I had to wash it away with water.Overall, I didn't enjoy these and because the smallest pack you can buy is a pack of 10 (at least is was when I bought it), I'm left with some of these jerky bags, that I really don't like.

Bought this variety pack as convenient protein input for my daughter after her sporting events. Chose this product as it was far less in 'unwanted chemicals' in comparison with other Beef Jerky products. She seemed to enjoy the products and some flavours were better than others, but that's down to personal choice. Well worth a try!

In fairness I cannot compare this product with a direct competitor but I am not sure Turkey really works.The jerky was disappointing, bland, dry and with a strange texture that wasn’t pleasant. This is obviously my personal opinion.If you are thinking of buying I would suggest getting a single pack to try.

Perfect size for snacking, great flavour too and not overly spicy. Really enjoyed these will definitely get more when I run out!

its good beef jerky! Great flavour and texture. Great customer service! i go to America a lot! 4 times a year! and im never satisfied with beef jerky in the UK until now! I will be telling my friends and will always buy my beef jerky from billy franks.

Really tough and tasteless, like eating old leather

By far my favourite jerky, although thoroughly recommend all of Billy Franks stuff!Not too spicy (although the spicier the better in my view) and not too tough. I find the turkey jerkies seem to fall apart in your mouth.A delicious and healthy snack for the day.Beware though, you may find yourself constantly ordering it when other jerkies just don’t compare anymore.

I really enjoyed the flavour within this variety pack, but unfortunately some packs were really tough. I dont expect jerky to be biltong, and I'm no expert, but for the price vs quality I wanted a better product in terms of the dryness and density of the beef, which was not consistent.
